Once again Midnight Riot makes it mark in 2021 with their new compilation 'Love Will Fix It - Volume 2'.

After an intense year of Riot releases we finally give praise to see the nightlife re-emerging & allowing again us to get funky together. This new album is a celebration of the forthcoming Midnight Riot sell out party in Manchester at the Carlton Club, Saturday 11th Sept with New York’s legendary John Morales & co.

'Love Will Fix it - Volume 2' is a literal who's who of the current disco / house scene. From Moodena (2020's Traxource No1 nu-disco artist) to new kids on the block Black Hawks Of Panama to Riot stalwarts Platinum City, Danny Kane, Qwestlife, Yam Who?, Mark Brickman, Da Lukas, Birdee, Sean Scanlan & many more!

We still live in times of change but now more than ever we have hope and even more hope that Love will Fix it!

The Black Light Disco Show bobbed and weaved its way back on the MyHouse Radio airwaves - now the smorgasbord of sass and class is available for your listening pleasure at leisure! 

Our host this week was BLD resident Memberberry, Esteban who was dishing out the grooves from BLD Towers’ newly fitted Planetarium like a chef at an all you can eat buffet. This week’s pickings included tracks from Ken@Work, Alien Disco Sugar, Pete Ellison and Jisco Dazz to name but four! 

Joining Esteban in Stellar Cartography was our guest for the evening, a dude who is making a most welcome return to the BLD fold, Even Funkier! 

Tom AKA Even Funkier has been a busy bee since he was last on the show. Kicking off a superb new weekly show on Mixlr, Tom has also completed a marathon streaming session for charity and found the time to see releases on massive labels such as See-Saw, Hot Digits Music and Too Slow To Disco. It was obvious that success was just around the corner for this absolute diamond geezer, and it’s thoroughly deserved in our humble opinion. So pin your ears back, tidy the living room and take in the sounds of an energised and super-charged Even Funkier!

This week we’ve got Leeds’ Queen of Disco – Lisa Jane. Head honcho of Disco Infiltrators and Studio Honey we’ve been looking forward to having her on the mixtape series for quite some time now! 

Not only a talented performer, Lisa has also earned her stripes in the studio with releases on labels such as Let There Be House, In It Together records, and Kenny Summit's label, Good for you Records. Her releases have been featured on dance music platforms with Data Transmission being one of the first outlets to champion Lisa's music as well as a feature in International DJ Magazine. 

Lisa has had the pleasure of gracing DJ booths as some of Northern England's finest club spaces and beyond including Sankey's festival, Fu Manchu, The Warehouse, Distrikt, Brighton Pride and Club Mission amongst others. Lisa's expanding presence has seen her appear on the same lineups as some of the biggest names including Josh Butler, Latmun, Secondcity, Claptone, Audiojack, and more recently, Micheal Gray, The Shapeshiters and Bob Sinclar. With the mix you can certainly see why!

Good Custard Mixtape 041: Lisa Jane

This week’s special guests are Disco Paese, a DJ duo from Bastia in Corsica. Formed in 2018 in Paris, through a mutual love of “Parisian disco night fever influences”, they play a wide variety of disco-house : Italian disco, French boogie, high energy and French house. 

Corsica is full of musicians playing in summer at well-known music events like Calvi on the Rocks, and Disco Paese have rocked quite a few gigs. But they also love to escape to other European countries to share their Corsican Disco aka Disco from Paese.

Shalvoy (Peter) is an NYC nightclub veteran. Peter has played at all the city’s top clubs, from his early residency at the legendary Nell’s, to more recent venues like Bungalow 8, Marquee & The Box. Although still DJing (he currently holds a residency at ‘On The Record’ in Las Vegas), his focus has shifted towards production and he has since released tracks on Tropical Disco, Super Spicy, Spa In Disco, Mango Sounds, Hot Digits and Midnight Riot.
