GC101 - LUP INO 🇮🇹 

Fiore Lupino aka LUP INO. Was born in 1974 and is a top Italian DJ-producer.

His experience as a DJ began in the early 1990s and at the end of the decade he started his own business as a producer with a particular penchant for nu disco and funky house sounds. 

He currently collaborates with the most important independent disco labels including Spa In Disco and Black Riot Records.

GCM111 - Fray Bentos 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 

Originally from the Midlands, Fray Bentos began his career in the early 90s, cutting his teeth in the free party scene. Relocating to Brixton, South London, he ran the celebrated night Deep Fried at the legendary Dogstar for 15 years, sharing the stage with acts such as Swayzak, Inland Knights, Bent, DiY, and Neon Heights. Over the years, his musical style has evolved from deep house to a diverse mix of funk, soul, hip-hop, funky breaks, and disco.

Fray Bentos has released tracks on various labels, including Katakana Edits, Tropical Disco, Spaindisco, Hot Digits, Hot Gorilla, Alpaca Edits, and Discoholics Anonymous. Currently, he is a resident DJ with Brighton's renowned Soul Casserole crew, having supported icons like Norman Jay, Craig Charles, Don Letts, Giles Peterson, Crazy P, and The Reflex. In addition, he hosts a regular radio show on Brighton's 1BTN, further cementing his presence in the music scene.

Paul Parsons is a leading Funky House and Nu Disco producer from the UK, known for his top-charting tracks and popularity among music lovers and DJs. His journey began in the early 1980s as a prize-winning dancer with a passion for electronic music, soul, funk, and disco. The Acid House movement of the late 1980s further fueled his love for dance music, leading him to frequent illegal raves across the UK.

Since the early 1990s, Paul has immersed himself in the dance music scene as a DJ, record shop owner, label creator, and producer. This week's broadcast included a few tracks from a forthcoming compilation album from the Discography Lessons, which is called "Summer Sizzlers",out on 16th August. One of my own tracks is on the compilation, and I squeezed it into today's show, along with tracks from Pete Whiteley and Daz Paget.

And my special guest this week was the talented DJ and Producer, Just Martina, who treated us to an hour of lovely deep, dirty and delicious house grooves. She's originally from Croatia, but now lives in Norway, and is a much respected artist on the music scene.

Ep 211: Feel Good Friday Radio Show (feat Just Martina)

Greg returned from his holidays to take over hosting duties for this week’s show 23rd August 2024. He was in the mix during the first hour with some new promos, recent releases and a couple of gems from the vault.  @gregmiddleton

In the second hour, we welcomed Steve Tier, aka FunkSupply, as our special guest mixer. Greg met FunkSupply at a couple of London-based events over the past year and really enjoyed an impromptu B2B set with him at @two_moreyears in Hackney a couple of months ago - we just had to get him on the show, so more people could get to hear his sound.

FunkSupply is a Disco / House DJ on the south coast, his sound is influenced by the likes of Folamour, Young Pulse, Kolter and many more. After making a name for himself in his home town of Portsmouth, and starting to break into the London scene, he plans to share his music and vibe with as many people as possible! One things for sure, if he's in the house, the funk will always be in high supply.
