The track sings praise to strong friend groups, and how important it is to have a good backbone and good people around you, so you don't fall back to an ex, or someone that treats you poorly.

"I'm Not Crazy" is loosely based on the hit Netflix TV show "Heartstopper", specifically aiming to portray Charlie's point of view. The song is bright and upbeat, and uses a pulsing baseline and synths to tell the story of a boy crushing on a boy, without knowing if they share the same sexuality. The song stays lighthearted until the end, where you get a bigger dive into what your mind goes through when you're constantly falling for straight men.
