Kindly introduced to us by the friendly crew at @12th-isle, who released their amazing debut album 'Periphera' a year ago, these masters of modern ambience gift us with another selection of sonic mind travellers.

"These are tracks we developed between 2013-2021 and have featured heavily in our live performances, evolving over the years. The live show is the core of our project, creating specific listening environments for the experience of imaginary solutions and possible worlds. We've taken this to marshes, forests, woods, quarries and churches, sometimes with big audiences, sometimes just with a handful of close friends. Recent events forced us to take a pause from live performance and gave us time to compile this record, which reflects the range of moods and tones that feature in the shows. After a summer hiatus, we’re back to our guestmix series with Lyon-based project Jonnnah. Recently emerged from the abyss via a noteworthy debut-EP on Worst Records, the French Producer already distinguished himself with his own aesthetic, somewhere between emotive ambient, hyperrealistic textures, synths soarings and tumultuous drums, soon to be found on various labels.

For his Bamboo Show, Jonnnah took off from undisclosed lakes, skimming their surface for an aery, celestial hour of abstract waves and delicate lyricism. A few rhythmical drops disrupt these plain stretches of water, just to highlight the beauty of their usual undying stillness.

'Apparition Floor' is a set of musikal responses to excerpts to Giorgio de Chirico’s wild metaphysical novel Hebdomeros. It follows the protagonist Hebdomeros' journey through an enigmatic, sullen landscape of doorways, columns, gas lamps and blind windows. The sounds map the weird architecture and wonky lay of the land.
