A few words by I:Cube. 
I've always been collecting records—for the pure essence of music, of course, as a sound source for sampling, for my DJ sets in various clubs, and, not to forget, for the weird and captivating album covers.
During my teenage years, I had a unique Saturday tradition. I would explore Parisian public libraries in search of unknown records to feed my sampler. 
Records were expensive, and without the internet, apart from the radio, this was my way of discovering new music and refining my musical taste.

Fast forward more than three decades, a serendipitous encounter took place with Damien Poncet, a cultural mediator who works at the Médiathèque Musicale de Paris. This remarkable institution boasts an impressive collection of over 100,000 records. 
Following an extensive conversation, a captivating idea emerged: to craft a musical composition using samples from this vast vinyl archive. 
The grand stage selected for this daring concert? None other than the iconic Forum des Halles, located in the heart of a historic Parisian district. Once renowned as Paris' largest food market, bearing the moniker "le ventre de Paris," the Forum des Halles underwent a transformation into a massive shopping center in the early 1980s. 

Performing this diverse and otherworldly musical blend live at the very core of this consumer paradise was also an immense source of enjoyment and highly surreal.
The concert was open to all, inviting anyone passing by to join in and listen.
This project was a golden opportunity to pay tribute to Paris's public libraries in a place rich with history and full of personal memories.

Additionally, I want to express my gratitude to Géraldine Hervé-Dannhauer, Mehdi Herzberg, Stéphane Laporte, Patrick Santos, and all the students from the Ecole Estienne in Paris, who contributed to the visual performance inspired by a selection of record covers during the show.

For years now, an old recording of Jeffrey Sfire at Cocktail D'Amore's one and only cosmic hole was one of the highest references for us in terms of downtempo Italo sleaze - an almost 6 hours recording serving more like a PhD aural dissertation specialized in some of the most remarkable dancefloor digs (mainly Europe) had to offer in the 80s at under 115BPM. To be able to share it publicly on the HAND Mix Series as we reach number 50 is a huge honor and we're greatly thankful to Giacomo and Giovanni, the two cuties behind Discodromo that made this possible. We hope you can appreciate it as much as we have over these past years. Here it is HAND #50 featuring the unique sleazy wizardry of Jeffrey Sfire captured in a special moment in time during the moist and lubricated atmospheres of Cocktail, now online - listen carefully! After a short hiatus to focus on our 20 Years Of Phonica celebrations the Off The Record mix series is now back! Stepping up for our 44th mix in the series and closing it out for the year is a selector, event runner and radio-host that has been making scenes in the celebrated European capital of clubbing; Berlin for years now. Maryama Luccioni aka Maryisonacid is recognised for pushing her event series and label African Acid Is The Future(alongside long time partner in crime Dauwd) as well as hosting her show Comme à la Radio on Berlin's Refuge radio! For this mix Maryama takes us on a in dept look into her selections from mellow to driving club sounds. Think of it as an all night long set summarised in the best way over an hour and a half!

Day Cart & Wig-Wam are childhood friends turned music editors turned DJs & party makers who have been bringing dancers together in the NYC scene for over a decade. The pair ran the long-running Goonroom party series before starting Stream Informer in 2020. What was first a pandemic-era passion project and resource to discover DJ livestreams (and help ravers find their friends again) turned into one of Brooklyn’s most on-the-pulse club nights, with bookings ranging from AceMoma to Sally C, Priori, Ciel, Jadalareign, Mella Dee, Russell E.L. Butler, Beige, and many more. Their mission is to provide a welcoming and forward-thinking platform to buzzing local artists and international talent while giving heads a place to find the music they love, whether on a stream or at an IRL sesh.

"This recording comes from one of our sets at a particularly special Stream Informer IRL at Good Room in April 2023, where, as residents of the party, we always get to set the vibe as dancers fill the room as the night begins to blast off. Playing before local legend-in-the-making Rose Kourts and a live set from Detroit homie 2lanes, we wanted to get things deep, ravey, and a bit psychedelic right from the start. Big love to the staff at Good Room for always giving us a space to do our thing and to everyone who has supported Stream Informer over the years, both online and on the dancefloor — we're still just getting started :)  Special shoutout to the XOXA crew for hosting and having such an incredible and inspiring platform."
