Every year I a make a recording of "happy birthday" and send it to my cousin. Except I never bothered to actually learn the song, so it's just a made up jam with a few notes of happy birthday somewhere in it.

Looped a section of my drumming in Audacity.
Did the same with the bass. Which is actually just my guitar going through a pedal that makes it sound bassish.
Then I recorded the guitar over all that in one shot.
