Lim de La Cruz is a DJ with over 12 years of experience behind the decks, driven by a self-taught passion for music and an ear finely tuned to the dance-floor. With roots in the UK Garage sound, his sets weave high-energy grooves with timeless underground textures, delivering a signature vibe that moves crowds. Now stepping into the world of music production, Lim is channeling more than a decade of DJing into original works that reflect both his journey and his vision for the future of club culture.

Hi Gooey here, thanks for listening. My first musical influences came from my Mum listening to Prince and MJ when I was a kid like millions of other 80s babies. That was followed by the hip-hop heavy soundtracks to basketball highlight videos(yes actual video cassettes) I watched endlessly in the 90’s. the first album I bought was 36 Chambers by Wu-Tang Clan in 93 and for years I was completely hooked on the crackly head nodding beats of golden age hip hop and didn’t really listen to anything else.

Until, a childhood friend came back to the UK from spending a few years in Johannesburg introduced me to a version house music, it was fairly minimal but the groove was incredible! 

Since then my style has evolved in all kinds of directions but always kept that hip hop attitude and that incredibly infectious groove. Enjoy.
