Continuing that same gradual expansion of the MantisMash catalog, the syncretic Blisstorted EP covers a wide territory of fusions and rhythms.

Grounded in the lucid repetition of psydub and its fraternal siblings, Blisstorted brings breaks, neuro, drum and bass, and glitch-hop into a fresh focus, pulling classic arrangement hallmarks from each respective pool. With heavy emphasis on melody-driven songwriting and crystal clear mixing fundamentals, each of the five tracks hit the center mark for taste, novelty, and a consistent dance-floor mentality. Juicy mid-range synthesis meets crisp soprano tones and sharp percussive cuts in a medley that feels both at home in the MantisMash musical rolodex and like newfound territory for the long-time stalwart Producer. Pushing past the contemporary, often one-track paradigm, Blisstorted spares no ground covered in its expedition across style and impact, and should be sitting squarely at the top of your next crate-digging adventure.

In his eclectic sets he plays downtempo, dub, easy listening, lounge, hip-hop, jazz, funk, electro-swing and world music (balkan, latin, afro, oriental). Suefo is a DJ-producer-organizer and radio host of Radio Tilos from Budapest. He is a member of different eclectic formations: Savages y Suefo, Savages & Tripcat, The Worldstylers, Vono Box and Sannan. In the last 28 years he played Hungary-wide and several times abroad from the Azores to Moscow, from Copenhagen to Milan. With Savages they are the founders of Mana Mana Records.

This is the second track from my new album ✨Memory Trails✨

This tune is more bass oriented, I tried to create a light dreamy vibe but at the same time to keep it also bass heavy, I like this contrast.
It was mostly done while I was staying in Portugal, and was finalized in North California. 

I usually find it hard to name tunes, when u start a project and the session is done u need to save it and give it a name, so I usually go with the most intuitive thought that comes up after that first session, it might be a certain vibe or energy or a specific feeling during that session.
So this temporary, intuitive title usually is the seed for the final title, in this case it stayed all the way from the initial session until the end.
One of the official meanings of ‘Junk’ is ‘old or discarded material that considered useless or of little value’, a lot of ‘modern’ electronic music is sample based, most of the beats and many other elements are samples that being resampled, reused, processed, than resampled again and again, so if u hear the initial sample it might sound like ‘junk’ but after this resampling process it evolves and becomes something new, hopefully something with value, hence ‘BeatJunx’ :::)
