Whatever the occasion that puts you in touch with the daunting soundscapes and enthralling atmospheres conjured by this bold selector, it becomes clear right at the beginning that you’ve entered a parallel world where anything can happen. One where, once immersed, we are guided by the flickering of lights while they dance with the shadows of the environment and the ones that dwell inside of us. Frontinn operates within this game of refractions and contractions, manipulating energy amidst the movement of waves and bodies by delivering not only the raw sonic material necessary to put everything in motion, but injecting the tension that makes it all pulsate fervorously, boisterously. And that’s how this Gop Cast will auspiciously kickstart yet another weekend for us all.

Gop Cast 042 - Frontinn

WE FORFEIT return to the interwaves with a very specific focus, the lads’ adopted home of Spain and the labels that hail from there. The rented Seat Ibiza is packed as Robbie and Chris explore the Iberian peninsula across twenty five tracks.

The northern coast is taken in. Galicia with Vagon Brei and Massage Brain Cult, from Lugo and A Coruña, as the lads fill up on electronics and pulpo as they make their way down the highways and byways towards the capital.

Being Madrid based, a leisurely pitstop in the hometown with a wide selection coming from Frigio and Femur. The sites and sounds are taken in. Bocadillas de calamares abound, as do other treats from the likes of Negocius man and Arcanoid before dropping in on labels like Analogical Force Noise, Barro, Caustica Waveform, Eleve and Noise to Meet You.

The rented motor is put through its paces, heading northwest for Cataluña to take in a tour of Camp Nou as well as visiting Aspecto Humano, Hooded, Polybius Trax, Spaecial and Útil before hitting the coast with Oráculo.

Never ones to shy away from extended metaphors and overly long car journeys in searing heat with no aircon, WE FORFEIT plunge toward the southern coast for a two track stay with Waste Editions in Almería.

A two hour audio excursion across a country, taking in electro, house, techno, synth, wave and much much more from a rich rich scene. Un abrazo!
