Anyone who ventures southward into the country is rewarded by many things that the region presents to its visitors: gorgeous landscapes both in the countryside and the coast, a myriad of vibrant cultural outposts that are the result of the encounters among many fluxes of internal migration and foreign immigration and vibrant music scenes that manage to conjoin the best of both in wonderful festive occasions. After all, music has always been at the core of the processes that galvanised movements around identities and gave each of those capitals a very distinctive yet diverse soundscape. Such is the case of Porto Alegre, a bustling metropolis whose environment of creative effervescence nurtured many generations of revellers as well as the events that sustain their activities and, as such, the perfect place for a collective as innovative as NEUE to blossom. Here we welcome one of its founding members to bring a bit of the magic of these parties to our collection of sonic journeys. For this episode, our guest JP concocts a spellbinding mix of different moods and diverse grooves, conjuring up dear memories of dancing moments at these wonderful events. @neuepoa

Exploring the roots and strands of House and Disco Music, Agrabah makes the versatility between these genres the inspiration for her signature. Dj and curious researcher, Agrabah plays with the sounds of the 80s and 90s oldschool, sometimes flowing through the beats in 4x4, sometimes diving into the grooves of Break Beat, bringing even unconventional sounds from different parts of the world to the dance floors. Her side of Disco Music is also explored with more intensity through her other “Caju” project.
As a producer, Agrabah also develops her influences within the House Oldschool strands, focusing on broken beats and urban atmospheres, sometimes softer, other times more explosive. With releases by labels as Filth Inc,, Coyribe, @clipp_art, Gop Tun, Gold Dome, Trip to Deep, Gatopardo, Agrabah has already received support from artists like The Blessed Madonna, Quincy Jointz, Nick Warren and Moskalus.
She is currently a Music Production instructor at Aimec Curitiba, and a writing collaborator for Alataj.

Native-born Brazilian, Laffitte connected with the music universe aware that this macrocosm requires a steadfast learning appetite and open arms for different sonant experiences. Now, as a resident DJ for O/nda, her DJ sets move amongst an overload of genres… house, electro, breaks, experimental, trance, ambient, techno, jungle.. dark disco and its electric guitars and other heavier and lighter musical styles, showing a combination between different styles when it is time to work the dance floor.
