PRSPCT RVLT’s 12th release is a sonic statement of intent. Politically charged, high­octane punk­themed drum and bass music created by the collective power­house that is Gore Tech and End.User. This EP cold­welds the rough edges of darkened Drum & Bass and Jungle together with total disregard for the rules. Born from End.User’s legendary technical and jarring drum­work and processing combined with Gore Tech’s driving machine­like sonic grooves. Bolstered by the allied forces of UK based veterans Dolphin and The Teknoist whom teamed up to remix the track Tear Gas. Berlin based visual designer Ciners created a visual manifesto in the shape of a music video for the original mix of ‘Tear Gas’ featured on the B­Side to add a motion graphic element to release, along with Tom Hamel’s macabre style of illustration for the sleeve. Mastered by the French resistance of Stazma the Junglechrist in Lyon.

Looking at today’s Gospel from a distance, it becomes quite clear that listening to Jesus was not one of his disciples particular strengths and an area they needed to work on, which is partially why I believe Jesus had to share so many parables with His followers.  Rather than listening to what Jesus has been teaching through his words and example about how to live as one of God’s beloved through humility and service, where the last come first and the first come last as learned in last week’s Gospel passage, the disciples continued to think in terms of other, more worldly things, like prestige and recognition, just like so many do in today’s world.  If we think about it, there is nothing new here, and throughout history this has been called the, “Me-First Syndrome.”  In this homily I explain the danger of pride and the me-first attitude that far too many live by today.

Pedestrian Tactics - Nerds Trying To Dance

Italian producer Soreab returns to Beat Machine Records with ‘Wrinkles’, a four-track EP which features vocals from pioneering hip hop artist Parallax and two remixes from BBS owner Benton and Planet Mu and Sneaker Social Club affiliate Basic Rhythm. The release proceeds records on DRIFT KINGS, Club Late Music and Top Billin Music. 

Talking about the release, Soreab says, “I was playing for my crew parties (Sobborghi) at The Alibi in Dalston and realised I couldn’t play my own tunes because they were not DJ friendly at all, so I used to end up spinning other artist’s dubs. That’s when I got motivated to try making my own productions playable in clubs while keeping my own sound because I wanted to avoid to just making simple drum tracks. Overall “Wrinkles” is an EP that despite the title, conveys happiness and excitement with each track  inspired by episodes where I got gassed, astonished and overwhelmed in my private life.”
