Sherrod Boyd was born in the heart of the south in small town named Starkville located in Misssisssippi.  He fell in love with music as a child, influenced by his parents who both sang very well.  “ I Remember seeing my mother cry at times and then I’d see her put on her favorite records like Jonny Taylor or Marvin Gaye and then she’d be smiling, laughing and dancing again and I’d say to myself thats what I want to do one day….make people feel better.”  Like most urban youth Sherrod was force to grow up at an early age due to the circumstances of his environment and bias economical unbalances. Growing up in mississippi he has seen and dealt with all kinds of adversity such as rasiscim, poverty ,  loss of friends and love ones to the streets or prison bars, and most days just trying to make it to the next.
	        Not left with may opportunities he enlisted into the United states Army as an active duty combat soldier he quickly realized that this was not the life or path for him, everyday he wanted nothing more to do than make music. Just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse he was deployed for a combat tour of duty to IRAQ from July 2010 to June 2011 “I don’t know how or why I’m am here, everything happened so fast,  all I knew was i promised  to get back home to my family and back to what I love most..making music and trying to inspire others”   Surviving his tour he returned home ready to work and has hit the ground running every since just as he said he would do
                 I hope you are ready to be entertained and amazed with intelligent hip hop lyrics, ingenious story telling, southern sayings and phrases, and heat felt inspiration.  Sherrod is ready to give it all he’s got, which right now is an enormous amount of love..love for the game,love for the youth,  and love for the struggle and the hustle. A very dedicated prideful and ambitious young man with an old soul;  who lives by “to quit is to die and I’m still a live”—Sherrod
