In the beginning of this year we gave you the excellent collaboration EP 'Voyage' x Maloon, now Jay is back with his self released 16-track long project 'Mellow Vation'. For this very special project Jay himself has self-produced 6 of the tracks along with some guest productions from the friend Talo and a feature from the lovely vocalist Emmavie who join forces on a summerish jamming tune together.

Mellow Vation is a well crafted piece with various chilled soundscapes that together creates a perfectly mellow sound from beginning to end, which Jay himself is known for from his previous releases. I am based in Manchester and after the horrific terror attack that happened on Monday 22nd May, I didn't know what to say or do. The day after, one of the churches I work for had prayers stations open all day and on one of the cards it had the words "When Words Fail Me, May You Speak". That struck a chord with me and had thought about writing a track in response to what had happened. I got in contact with Montell to help write it and sent him a bunch of bible verses and thoughts, and he killed it. I feel like this is a great prayer and chill out track to help refocus my mind in times where I don't have the words to say.
