We are opening the new season of our mix series with a thunderous mixtape of Lady Amdience aka Diana Gladchenko, a Saint-Petersburg selector who is predicted to have a great future by the local selectors community, and personally I would call her a “golden hand selection”, where you can feel a tremulous love for Bristol — the place where the musicians experiment without stopping and do not hesitate in self-expression, what is exactly she demonstrates in her works and everyday life.
This is a winter mix in a good way, which makes you shiver with its industrial sound and the voices of uncompromising women.
Throughout the entire journey, Diana leads us by the hand, rhythmically looking back with a passionate gaze, she seems to be flirting, tempting us, and the next minute she turns back sharply and confidently shoots an incoming track right through your heart❤️‍🔥

“Фильтреализм” начинается на территории, куда Gamayun еще не ступали – с той музыки, что только кажется простой, но на деле оказывается весьма сложносочиненной. Вот только былого эскапизма в этой записи не наблюдается – альбом целиком записан как расчленение, изучение и принятие повседневной реальности через личный и коллективный опыт музицирования. Под стать этому и сама физическая его часть – кроме «привычных» электронных инструментов на “Фильтреализм” можно услышать совершенно бытовые (и порой – даже кустарные) источники звука: посуду, мебель, деформированные диктофонные записи.  

Альбом звучит так, словно кто-то из советских пионеров электронной музыки перевёл свой фокус с модулируемого синтеза звука на простые окружающие вещи, а композицию дополнил более глубокой попыткой запечатлеть странности и моменты повседневного очарования. Которая срабатывает, надо сказать, очень быстро.

"Filterealism" starts from the territories where Gamayun haven't stepped before, from the music that only seems to be simple, but in fact it turns out to be very compound. Their recordings are not escapist in any sense of its meanings anymore; the whole album consists of divisions, explorations and adoptions through the personal and collective experience of music-making. The technical side of this sound acts likewise: you can hear a large amount of routine items (furniture, utensils and deformed recordings of the nature) among "conventional" electronic gadgets and live instruments. "Filterealism" sounds just like some Soviet electronic music pioneer, which had shifted his focal grip from the modulations and synthesizers to all the simple things of surrounding and completed the piece with profounder shot of weirdness and commonplace wondering. And it literally works like a wonder.

There always was a lot more to bird watching than just watching. There's no need to be an ornithologist to simply notice that birds produce a vast variety of sounds. They tweet and chirp, hoot and caw, shriek and cry, cluck and crow. They clap their wings and peck wood, they rustle with leaves and gurgle with water. Some of them vocalize to communicate. Others are trying to imitate human speech, since us, human species, are always more or less around. Recent studies suggest that listening to birdsongs helps us to relieve stress and anxiety, so some of us simply listen and record these sounds. Others are trying to manipulate the recordings turning them into something completely new. There are also those who, in reverse, try to imitate birds with a variety of methods. The "birdstape" series is dedicated to the long history of human beings discovering the sonorous aspects of ornithology.
