Italian native Cristina Lazic returns to Rebellion following her recent release on the Souls Vol.2 VA last year. And now the rising star delivers an accomplished three-track EP for the Crosstown Rebels sub-label.

Talking about the release, Cristina explains: “Burning is an EP that will accompany people in a variety of situations - from introspective journeys in moments of reflection, to social gatherings with friends and all the way to the dance floor. It consists of three tracks that contain a mix of minimal sounds with groovy bass, with female / male catchy vocals and unique elements full of surprises.” Delving further into the creation of the EP she reveals: “In Mirror I was inspired to include a guitar tone after listening to the great track “Taff” by Leonidas and Traumer; Jazzy Feeling is the result of an effort to combine minimal with funk and jazz music. Finally, with the lead track Burning I wanted to obtain a happy dance floor sound to make people dance, including unexpected elements, like seventh chords.”

In the title track Burning, a playful bassline drives the track as floaty vocals ride throughout the dreamy layers of chords and percussion. Jazzy Feeling is deep and powerful with a solid bassline, infectious vocals and an inspiriting atmosphere. Last up, Mirror rounds off the EP, once again demonstrating Cristina’s adept skill for creating hypnotic layers, sensual tones and rolling dancefloor music that can also be enjoyed anywhere at any time.

Born in Milan and raised in London, Cristina Lazic started playing the piano when she was six and grew up composing music. Emerging into the spotlight only four years ago, Cristina has performed at iconic clubs and festivals around the world. She also caught the attention of Pioneer DJ Italy, who chose her as an ambassador and example for aspiring female DJs. Her releases can be found on Bondage Music, Creature Records and Rebellion. But, since we launched this channel, we've been filled up with warmth and great expressions of moods and feelings. Thanks to everybody who was involved, artists, friends, listeners, supporters, and lovers. Many hugs for everything. 
We decided to create a second insight in Aaristos library and emotions, as he is still one of our favorite picks. Very warm hug to you friend.

Get hypnotized to be drawn through the secret paths of the deepest woods, which organic surrounding seems real. "For Amyitis" is an ode to the Gardens of Babylon community in Amsterdam (www.soundcloud.com/thegardensofbabylon) who inspired me last year enormously to my deepest core. I found back my love for music which resulted in this first set of me.

Expect oriental and tribal sounds with a lot of percussion and drums. The story of this set starts with the more melodic tunes at 115 bpm and goes into more darker beats at 122 bpm.  Exactly like Balagan.

However much these nations differ about trifles, they all agree in liking fairy tales. The reason,
no doubt, is that men were much like children in their minds long ago, long, long ago, and so
before they took to writing newspapers, and sermons, and novels, and long poems, they told
each other stories, such as you read in the fairy books. They believed that witches could turn
people into beasts that could speak, that magic rings could make their owners invis
ible, and all
the other wonders in the stories. Then, as the world became grown-
up, the fairy tales which
were not written down would have been quite forgotten but that the old grannies remembered
them, and told them to the little grandchildren: and when t
hey, in their turn, became grannies,
they remembered them, and told them also. So the new
SHANGO RECORDS EPis a compilation and includes seven amazing remixes for your personal book of tales. Songs about
love, hate, broken dreams, suffocation and holding
hands.
