Dynamic. Intoxicating. Vivacious. Amazing. These are the words used to describe Ms. Keytah Murray. Keytah’s first love by far is Music. She was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of 10 she discovered that she was blessed with a gift, Vocal Talent. Shortly after discovering her gift Keytah was afforded the opportunity to lead a song in her church choir, and she gave a crowd-pleasing rendition of “His Eye Is On The Sparrow”. This was the birth of something and someone special.  Keytah’s passion for her craft is the driving force behind, writing and pursuing every aspect of music. 

At the age of 16, Keytah   performed at the famed Apollo Theater in New York City, reprising her soul stirring performance “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” which landed her a standing ovation. Keytah was also a part of many local singing groups and worked with multiple producers throughout her teenage years. She has also written multiple songs and recorded 3 demos. While in her mid-20’s, Keytah joined a band called ‘Marcell and The Truth’ as a background singer. Later in her journey, she became the lead vocalist of the ‘Touché Band’ and ‘Soulful Element’. 

While a member of the ‘Touché Band’ and ‘Soulful Element’ bands, Keytah performed at various venues throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. Through the grace of God she is finally where she feels that she was meant to be, a leader of her own destiny. Keytah considers herself to be a soul singer at heart, although her style and voice has the ability to cross all genres of music. In August 2012, Keytah released ‘Never Too Late’, a project containing eight passionate tracks that showcase Keytah’s talents and vocal range.

Keytah has plans to take her art to the next level.  “Music warms my soul, and in it I find my comfort zone. When on stage, nothing else matters but the enjoyment of whoever listens. My goal is to enjoy what I do. I do it for the love of music not for the glitter and gold”.  "I've been blessed with a gift from God, to share with the world. Been writing music since i was 7 [poems] my rap side of me came out when i was 13.
I decided to follow my brothers footsteps.. ALSO family is very musical. I love writing music raping and showing it.
