Both tracks have beat-centric variations, and the 12” 45rpm black vinyl is begging to be mixed.
“Boombia” doubles as a DJ transition tool to move your set from Funk to Cumbia or vice versa. (98-96-98 BPM). For the third offering on Gottwax we have compiled another 4 tracks cut to bright orange wax enlisting the help of long term friends Bonar Bradberry, Appleblim, Ponty Mython and Krywald & Farrer.

​First a producer that needs no introduction​,​ ​Appleblim kicks things off with ‘Phosphene’ - a glistening and pensive opener that drives a rubbery sequence under loose-limbed drum patterns. Next, ​o​ne half of PBR Streetgang, ​Bonar Bradberry​ follows up with ‘MOD’ - a languid, marching groove that perfectly soundtracks the embers of early doors and carries with it a beguiling quality.

On the flip, Ponty Mython follows up records on Dirt Crew, Swedish Brandy and Russia’s Capital Bass with the low-slung and highly danceable ‘Ruddy’s Loop’. Dissected jungle-esque drum breaks and a jazzy double bass line are melded together before Silver Bear and Percolate affiliates Krywald & Farrer blow some warm tropical air into the package with ‘Innacamo’. Jubilant African vocals and a heated, persistent bass line keep progress bustling forwards as Gottwax cap off another rich and varied offering adding another fine addition to their series.

In the B1 groove of Cody Currie's Peach Fuzz EP on Secret Reels comes our premiere for the date, "Urlaub Kommt", which cheekily gives nod to a certain dusty drum break in use and name. A swinging, layered kit opens the arrangement before filtering in the main lick. It's a familiar jazz flute lead, joined nicely by wah-wah'd out funk guitar and a grooving bassline. Of course, like any Cody track, it's decorated with microsamples that serve to inject a uniquely quirky style. At around 121 BPM, it also sits slightly higher on the range than a lot of the producer's other songs. The result: a sexy deep house cut reminiscent of a certain "Playboy's Only" jazz vibe, and like his previous work, definitively inspired by contemporary sample-house staples such as those from Berlin's Money $ex Records

Well renowned for his laidback almost Lounge House style of electronic music, in which at this moment, he certainly appears to be at the forefront of - demonstrated in stellar releases on household favourites such as, Banoffee Pies, Anma, Yam and his own imprint, Cognitiva. This time round, the Italian offers a four cut EP, 'Scissors & Shapes' on the infinitely impressive, https://soundcloud.com/Omena-Records , further certifying his OG status.

Our Premiere features the stunningly executed remix duty on the record, who of which is similarly revered for his Jazz inspired productions. @Dj-Prequel 's re-imagination of Balancing Acts is utterly inspired, further showcasing the Australians silky smooth, yet edgy artistry that many of you may have initially discovered two years back in his Freedom Jazz Dance EP on Rhythm Section. Masterfully woven together textures and seams renders this an absolute technicoloured dream-coat of a track, and one for you to wear and cherish forever and a day.
