Following his debut album in 2021, Feiertag now explores a different and deeper sound with new LP, 'Dive.'
Joris Feiertag is a Dutch producer and drummer from the historic and culturally rich city of Utrecht. He signed to Sonar Kollektiv in 2018 and last year released his debut LP ‘Time To Recover.’ Now he returns to something like his musical roots, delving deeper into the use of synths and embracing more offbeat melodies. Countering the more uplifting and vocal-led nature of ‘Time To Recover’, Feiertag has recently found himself searching for more sonorous and sombre themes. It has resulted in 'Dive,' a more personal album without any topline songwriting and a more straightforward approach that allows Joris’ musicality to shine through.
The lead track, ‘Living In Slow’, is a quirky and intimate introduction with sped-up vocals, snapping snares and haunting synths that embraces Joris’ breakbeat roots. Things pick up with the steel drums, guitars and swooping synths of 'Cala', which brings to mind Jamie XX before 'Vivid And Hazy' continue the foot-friendly assault with warm keys and soothing vocals shining through. As a drummer himself, Feiertag always immerses himself in making the beats, which shows on 'I Need U'. The track has an infectious UK garage feel that harks back to the artist's first years of producing, as well as to greats like Zed Bias and Wookie.
The excellent 'How U Do It' takes some of its cues from classic UK sounds again, albeit with a heavy dose of Detroit house feelings. 'Nocturnality' dives into late night, hypnotic dance music with a hypnotic repetitive vocal line and some serious bottom end. Having passed peak time, 'Descend' draws us into slower territories and loungey vibes with dark foreboding synths. The title track completes the album with meditative and atmospheric charm, a sweet organ sound and sophisticated jazz drums. It is a blissful climax.
'Dive' is Feiertag's most personal album to date, and it might well be his best.

On his new outing for "The Magic Movement", Rio de Janeiro's own Carrot Green blends brazilian grooves, house and techno to generate his own outstanding dancefloor gem.  Already proven in the "Brazilian Shakedown" series and other stunning releases, the producer Carlos Gualda knows his trade. The title track here premiered "Dança das Crianças" features brazilian spoken word, chanting and slightly peculiar synth chords enhanced with a strong house beat ; simply awesome ! With a little bit more than six months in the year Lossless finally sends a sign of life to the electronic music scene – and, as expected, one with a bang. After Atelier's EP 'Something To Fill An Hour' Thomas Herb and Mathias Schober's label returns with its third installment of Outbound, a potpourri of selected works from Lossless' family members and artists within the label's reach and range. Alongside the musical gathering on Outbound.3 the various artist EP additionally kicks off the release season for the label and marks the fifth anniversary. Lossless' longtime affiliate, Irishman in Berlin Neil Flynn, contributes a collaboration with vocalist Katie Kim called 'Trá', meaning 'beach' in Irish, to the EP. 'Trá' reveals that music doesn't need more than a simple but driving bass line and vocals – in the first place. But 'Trá', of course, contains more than the aforementioned and Neil just makes it sound so simple. Echoing synths accompany the conga drums and create some Celtic trippiness intensified by Katie Kim's Björk-esque vocals and seagull sounds that unite nature and men in a ritualistically fortified track.

Lossless' 'Outbound.3' will be released on July 12th, 2019.

Acid Pauli is back with another four-track EP on the label he co-manages with friend and collaborator Nico Stojan. 
This EP, self-effacingly titled 'Had to get rid of some shit', showcases Martin Gretschmann’s dancefloor prowess yet again. 
'Dancing In The Trunk' is a hyped-up loopy banger - minimal in instrumentation but fully psychedelic in execution. 
'Goran Utan' has a deeper, darker edge, with a tension that will tighten the grip on many dancefloors. 
'Shakmat, but happy' appears in 'Pauli's Psychedelic Breakfast Take 9' and is a slow-building, loop-based groover, eventually opening up to reveal tinges of acid. 
Lastly, the digital exclusive 'Edging in den Trunk' is a slower bomb - shuffling percussion and drifting arpeggios provide the lightness to this exquisite cut, which is based on the lead track 'Dancing In The Trunk'.
