Shubostar - Hypernova [Internasjonal] <Gouranga Premiere>

The premiere signing on Local Suicides newly founded label Iptamenos Discos is Austrian band Wiener Planquadrat. Consisting of Michael Weiler, former member of Burnin Tears (Luv Shack), and Maximilian Atteneder from bands such as Catastrophe & Cure.

Their single release entitled ‘Stillstand’ is the first ever from the duo with the promise of more to come via Iptamenos Discos. This feel good disco vibes track is built on punchy drums and catchy bass lines that channel the legendary spirit of the 90s Downbeat sound of Vienna. The uplifting flow of the song mixed with playful elements and analogue sounds blend beautifully while austropop-esque vocals float over the top. The lyrics describe a journey from the mountains to the sea and paints the picture that one is driving their convertible with the top down and as the sun shines and lush melodies fill the fresh coastal air.

The single includes a remix by Rising Seed which is the project of Lee Stevens (one of the founders of Luv Shack label) and musician Martin Arnold. Incorporating flutes & 80’s house piano this lively rework is all about letting the good times roll and would be the perfect soundtrack to a tropical beach party that goes until sunrise.

The single will be released with a short edit and a full length club version of the original and the remix on a strictly-limited clear Dubplate 12” and made available digitally on all platforms.

Maximum Flavour - the new project spearheaded by Matt FX and Giorgio Beatsaface - serves a dose of cheeky nostalgia with ‘Chef’s Kiss’, their debut original offering via Disco Halal. It’s a track that transports dancefloors back to the 80s, back to that classic New York dance music era where queer self-expression and the infamous Paradise Garage sound reigned supreme. With its glistening synths, rolling drums, and trademark jock-jam vocal drop, Maximum Flavour present a stadium-sized interpretation on the Hi-NRG sub-genre, mixing past and future to create a sense of unbridled joy.
On the flip side, label head Moscoman gives his trademark touch, adding an array of drums that up the pace of the track, making it perfect for those peak time moments. Like legendary productions duos before them, Maximum Flavour makes larger than life music for big room play. ‘Chef’s Kiss,' with its unique reference points, is a head-turning opening statement and one that carves its own lane. Roam alumni Silicodisco returns to Roam with Spanish compatriot Xácome with three original tracks to form the Estas Loco EP. All three tracks bring a strong psychedelic post-wave sound forward, starting with Rusty Grass - a low-slung gritty yet dreamy offering. The title track Estas Loco carries the stripped-down 80s synth themes found throughout the EP. Mind Panic fits perfectly taking the vibe further with its rolling bass and ethereal soundscapes. Rounding out the EP is an excellent remix from Chinaski.
