Minister Thembi Nkadimeng, says the District Development Model (DDM) izimbizo are critical for ensuring that government serves the people and that no one is left behind. She was speaking at the DDM Imbizo held at the Batlharos Sports Ground in Kuruman in the Northern Cape. The imbizo is the 13th that has been held by the sixth administration lead by President Cyril Ramaphosa. The Imbizo, which has been held in all provinces, allows members of communities to interact with leaders from national, provincial and local government on service delivery challenges that communities are facing. Minister Cele added that, police will be deployed all over country.

Cabinet has welcomed the release of the latest employment data from StatsSA, which confirm the growth in total employment during 2018. The Quarterly Employment Survey, one of two surveys conducted by StatsSA, showed that employment in the formal sector grew by 158 000 during the 12 months of 2018.
