This EP dismantles Plantrae’s sound, honing in on, and developing primary elements, while simultaneously exploring new experimental niches between genre and future. The sound occupies numerous spaces, simultaneously conjuring the rotten neon stimulation of life in societies pulsating hubs, as well as the lush blooming of wild plants in any forest. There are thick, dizzying moments drenched with tension and doubt, and pastel sunny feels that will make you want to keep breathing for at least one more day. As with life, sometimes they happen at the same time

This track is one of an assemblage of 6 compositions I've created for my debut release. I am releasing this unfinished version so people can get a preview of the set I and Jason Takahashi will be performing at Rootwire Festival 2K12 in Logan OH. All the songs are tuned to specific solfeggio frequencies and have been shown to aid humans in many different healing and empowering ways. Many composers have created music and soundscapes for these frequencies, most of them slow and atmospheric. These tracks are intended to be high energy to encourage ecstatic dance states in the listener. Working closely with these frequencies has done wonders for me personally and i encourage anyone who is interested to further explore this realm.

Govinda is the alter-ego of Austin based producer/composer Shane Madden. He began studying violin and composition at the age of eight and went on to study classical violin at the University of Texas where he fell in love with electronic music production. It was in Madden’s pursuit of his gypsy roots that he opened his ears to music from around the world. From experiences learning violin with mysterious masters on his journeys across the globe and his passion for modern design and technology, the current sound of Govinda was born.
