This week we are certain that you once more will find something that will be a coming favorite to you, at least something that you would like, and want to support. We are happy to showcase new material this week from artist that we are tru fond of ourselves, and that we try to follow through our website, to support and share, what they are up to!

Here is the latest PHW & Friends show, in case you missed it during our broadcast on Pure-FM. As always we invite producers around our PHW label, and this month we had the pleasure to invite one of the best acts for progressive music, Serbian Jelly For The Babies.

It's time for us to come back with another exclusive PHW Promo Session, last week you where left without one, since we had our latest episode broadcasted on Pure.FM/progressive, this episode included a fantastic guest mix from Belgrade bound ace Jelly For The Babies, we hope you enjoyed those 2 hours of music.

Today we bring back the upcoming sounds from label and producing friends around us, that has some new work in the pipeline that we of course want to help to echo around the globe. This episode is a really big one, including a lot of the material coming for the Christmas period and in the beginning of next year. We have made some serious pick and choose hunt in the mailbox, and found another 35 productions that we want to showcase this time, all in all that became a set closing up to the 4 hour mark, and we have a slight feel you are going to catch up a tune or two that you really would want to support once they hit the digital stores in a not to long spell from now.

You will have a lot of different progressive styles to choose from. Included are new works from the likes of Dale Middleton, Joost Van Der Vlueten aka Namatjira, Haroun Omar, Terry Da Libra, Vince Forwards, Che Armstrong, Jeremy Rowlett, Ilan Bluestone, Sean McClellan, Matias Chilano, JJ Grant and so many more. Progressive House Worldwide – PHW Promo Session 030 – 2013

It’s time to bring back one of our favorite producers out there, and we are thrilled to bring back the Greek producer Psychowsky on our roster. We feel we’ve had a great original to work around, and the line-up for this release is something that we are really pleased to get showcase.

Theo brings on all his skills on the original, where a lovely progression is to be heard throughout the entire track. Dark vibes, melting melodies and lovely pads brings the most out of this production, that we got hooked on right from the start, it’s definitely deeper material than we regularly work with, and we have been so proud, to get the chance to work on it.

The remix line-up includes some truly solid names, that we believe are among the elite of the genre. First out is the Hungarian long time server, East Cafe that returns to PHW. Being seen quite a while ago together with us, we now felt we had the perfect track for him, and we can’t say we were wrong. He brings on a more percussion laden interpretation here, with stunning grooves and dark textures that we are so hooked on. An additional vocal line is used to bring even more atmosphere to Theos original work, we love it!

Globetrotting producer Haroun Omar is next up on the roster, and it’s with open arms we welcome him back every now and then. Being a stellar figure on PHW in the past, we know what we get from him each time, pure mint progressive. He has tightened up things on his interpretation, to give it a more pounding feel. Nice bass chords are rolling on, and looping the original melody makes it work like a charm. W e are as always thrilled to Haroun Omar on our roster, and he never disappoint us with his clever music and rich textures.

Next up is a welcome return from Swiss living producer, and hard worker, Feri. Being a part in our PHW & Friends series a while ago, you got the chance to hear some of his brilliant productions, and now he’s back in business.with us once more. With a mellow feel, vocal additions and a great bouncing bass line, he for sure showcase his skills once more, and the result is stunning in our opinion.

The next one on the roster is another returning artist that works from his base in Argentina. As always we are thrilled to have Mistol Team back among us, and once more he delivers the good stuff for us. He has given it a more upbeat feel and something that could be included in the more clubby sets. It’s another great addition to the release and we are as happy as ever to have Martin back with us.

The final remix in this big package comes from no other than Dublin, Ireland chappie Shane Robinson. Being seen for quite some time on the progressive scene, we now welcome him to us PHW as well with his quality work. With a laidback and deep version of the originals, he makes the final contribution to the release, and we definitely feel there is something for everyone included, pick your choice and spread the word about another superb release!

<p>The Warehouse releases are our own label sampler series and with this first instalment we pay homage to our fellow countrymen with four tracks coming exclusively from Greece.<br />
 The one and only Axel Karakasis lets the games begin with the sinister workout that is &#8220;Pagan&#8221;, rolling things out with the bass coming down heavy and the mystical vibe going strong. Christian Cambas is up next with the trademarked galloping bassline and cheeky samples, only coming up for air during the apocalyptic breakdown.<br />
 G.Pal pushes the gears back with &#8220;Lush&#8221;, whipping out some tasty synth work and intricate percussion, while the crackling rhythm section stomps away amidst a misty haze. LFCs bring the affair to an end with haunting chords taking center stage, the sub-bass bubbling under the loopy drums and spacious effects setting the tone.</p>

Anton Kubikov and Maxim Milyutenko are widely known as SCSI-9 and are by far the most recognizable and booked house / techno duo from Russia. With a total of more than 50 releases and 120 tracks so far on labels such as Traum/Trapez, Salo, Freizeitglauben, Morris Audio, Highgrade, Force Tracks, Tyrant and Kompakt they have earned great respect worldwide and are famous for their eclectic and crystal clear tech sound. 

What seems to be really impressive in the SCSI-9 sound are the strong feelings that each track carries, something quite strange considering the cold environment of their motherland. This “Mediterranean” touch made them stand out among the Russian electronic music community and gave them the role of the “New romantics” and the “Originators of the Russian Deep” according to the press worldwide. And as Michael Mayer wrote in one of his reviews “In the contemporary electronica the name SCSI-9 stands for truth and beauty”.

By the time SCSI-9 first appeared in the electronic music scene, the tech house sound had begun to fade and been full of mimicking. Their “Digital Russian” album marked a new era with it’s dubby takes on tech house, full of hypnotic grooves, unforgettable melodies and amazingly careful programming. A state of the art production that made them instantly an act to watch. Their next steps in their career included their flirt with Kompakt and the “digital disco” sound where “Autumn Love” and “Mini” could fit in any well made Balearic and Ibiza oriented compilation of the time.

The “Line of Nine” album showed their pop touch in the new Russian Deep House movement. Laidback, cheerful, melodic arrangements growing slowly into a groove.  Something they kept doing in their “Easy as Down” album which proved once again their consistency in the perfect production and their love for pop flavored melodic Tech house. 

Almost four years after their latest album release, SCSI-9 continue their odyssey through the oceans of electronica, this time together with longtime friends at Klik Records. Inspired by works of Jean Luc Godard and Arthur Rimbaud, Anton and Maxim now steer their boat over deep and slow waters, presenting "Metamorphosis", their new album featuring dark, bass-rich compositions. Focusing in the sound that made them famous in the beginning they experiment a lot with dub sound and dark ambient and stepping away from the pop forms of their recent past.

From the very first moment of the album we can hear their intentions. The atmosphere in “Intronome” is moody, foggy and mysterious. Long gone the cheerful and happy times. 

Once again the duo’s trademark is easily recognizable. Crystal clear sound. “Schaukel Duo” marks their new dubby statement. Slowly evolving into the perfect companion for an early in the morning – back from clubbing – drive, with the sound of a rusty swing going back and forth bringing memories of the past. Memories that keep on coming with “Nostalgia”, keeping a similar dubby tone, using a guitar to get us back on a summer’s night next to the sea watching the fire mood.   

“Song From The High Tower” and “I’m Lost” include formidable vocals from Vienna's singer Gregor Ladenhauf, well-known as Zanshin and part of Ogris Debris. While “Song From The High Tower” retains a straight and driving but minimalist arrangement of a song, “I’m Lost” goes more leftfield and deep with the effects on the vocals and uses deep dubby chords. 

“Alphaville”, inspired by the famous movie of Jean Luc Godard, is deephouse par excellence which includes vocal bits from Stylish Murphn morphed beyond recognition and samples of a duduk (a traditional Armenian pipe), thus matching Godard’s antiutopia. 

Dub instruments are used on most of the tracks, even in the more melodic ones like “Nostalgia” which perfectly matches with it’s mood to the cover pictures – contributed by one of Russia's most famous art photographer Mikhail Rosanov, who shot them during a recent expedition to Antarctica and is going to show them as huge black & white prints in a museum of modern art in Moscow. 

With "Metamorphosis", SCSI-9 show a musical snapshot of today's reality and transmute real life experiences into their 5th full-size album with a totally new overall sound.

The album will be released on the 9th Of April 2012 on cd, special edition double vinyl with free cd album included and via digital platforms.


Nostalgia

Back in 2007, a track titled “Mini Man” was released by a stranger to the audience 18 year old artist named Alex Dimou. The title might have been the best one to describe the person behind the track, the mini man, a kid with such a passion and will to demand a place in the grown up’s world. And he made it. “Mini Man” charted 7 out of 9 tracks included in the release, something that could not pass unnoticed from the Tech house community.

A couple of years later his first full length album is released through Klik Records and this was meant to be the consolidation of what was on everybody’s mind. Alex Dimou was in fact miles away from the mini man’s definition. He was a conscious man, knowing exactly what he wanted to do and with the maturity needed to do it the right way. “One Of Us One Of Them” came as a complete option for the lovers of electronic music. From it’s clubby moments to the cinematic trips and the indie aesthetics, everything said a story in the most beautiful and tidy way, which kept on amazing people having in mind the young of his age.

His career from then on could be nothing less than upward. Having a total feel of the electronic music’s trends, his remixes and edits always manage to be updated and be placed in the playlists of the world’s best djs. Trips and appearances from Berlin and Cairo to the Ministry of Sound’s main room and WMC’s closing party in Miami on a weekly schedule, releases from Plastic City, Parquet Recordings,Mangali, Funk Farm, Rhythmetic, Kitsune, Quantized Music, Elite Records establish Alex Dimou among the world’s best producers and grows expectations for something new.

Finally this “something new” came to life and is entitled “Halemweg”. Influenced by his Berlin days and from all those that happened after his first release, his new project carries the air and rhythm of the cities were it was written, the energy of those that he worked with, the intensity of the parties and the loneliness of the trips.

Halemweg has clear House roots. Dimou alternates the sound of Chicago and Detroit, giving a European touch and keeping a dark atmosphere that cause awe to the listener and allow just one thing, a trip inside the track. He brings back nu disco’s lost glamour in a new form and has the ambition to sneak in the club’s speakers not just for a night………………but for years.
