If like us, you're a huge fan of anything Playlounge, Saturday's Kids or Breathe Out, you’ll be excited to hear Saam of Playlounge, Sion of Saturday’s Kids and Stuart of Breathe Out have decided to form a band called Nudes and we’re delighted to be releasing their first track as part of our Pizza Club.

Nudes started when Saam heard the soon to be released Saturday’s Kids album and loved it so much he instantly knew he wanted to be in a band with Sion. Saam and Stu live together and as we can attest, Stu is a pretty solid drummer. With this in mind it makes sense for Saam to leave his traditional role behind the kit and make the move forward to the front of stage. Splits and maybe an ep are planned for release later in the year with an album not long after.

We spoke to Saam about Nudes dream pizza “one third veggie ‘za with extra halloumi, one third veggie hot and one third just hummus.”

As ever, three physical pizza box versions of this single will be available on our shop at 1pm (gmt).

This week we’re delighted to welcome self described surf-psych 3-piece H.Grimace to the Pizza Club. The London bands’ self titled EP quietly slipped out a couple of months ago and as well as being one of our favourites of the year, it also has some great artwork from Leif Podhajsky - check it out (http://h-grimace.bandcamp.com/)

We’re honoured to be releasing new track ‘Cavepainter’ - four minutes of pulsating Sonic Youth’esque guitars that build into a blissful pop crescendo. It’s this transformation from the starkly sung words of media influence and being ‘gripped by the throat’ that make the latter part of the song such a thrill.

'Shi-men-so-ka' - a situation beyond hope; defeat is clear.

Our apologies for skipping a slice; David has recently relocated to Bristol with lacking internet and Richard is still running around London. So, to relaunch this week, the latter one of us has contributed a track that was recorded with Mark Jasper at his Hackney-hideaway Sound Savers.

The not-another-no-fi project is also comprised of Jake May (Grubs) and Lloyd King (Slothboat), forging scuzz and lost melodies into hopeless tales. 'Shimensoka' is more of the same, alluding optimism and closing out as a tribute to self doubt.
