In one of the most serene and beautiful locations I know, in a nature reserve in Poland near a small town named Garbicz, a thousand people gathered and celebrated a much needed reprieve from the months and months of pandemic lockdown. Surrounded by bright sun, cool trees and fresh lake water, we got to experience what was probably one of the most delightful days of our lives. and I was allowed the privilege of doing the soundtrack from high noon to two, and here it is.

.. für das Videostreaming im Kulturschloss Wandsbek war die Spielzeit eigentlich vorab auf 2 Stunden angedacht .. später mussten die playtimes aus organisatorischen Gründen leider etwas verändert werden und ich sah mich gezwungen, das Set spontan während des Auflegens um eine halbe Stunde zu kürzen .. daher ist das Set im Streaming Video nur 1,5 h lang ..

Ein Hauch von Istanbul schwirrt durch den Raum: Oceanvs Orientalis (@safakozkutle) führt uns durch seine Heimat, in der Tradition und Neuzeit so nahtlos verwoben sind, dass uns Eindruck und Erinnerung trügerisch verschwimmen.

11th mix in @Ecoutesauvert's MFI series comes from Hong Kong, where @taku-hirayama was based until the Pandemic hit!

It is also related to Ho Chi Mihn City (Saigon) where @Cobeia met Taku when both djing the same night at the fantastic club @theobservatory-hcmc (big hug Dan & Linnea!).

Taku DJs across Asia and runs "Junktion”, a party based in Hong Kong since 2013, that expands the possibility of dance music with an open-minded attitude. 

Taku crafted his skills in the DJ booth for the last 20 years and is known for his signature trippy groove sound. His sets turn the dancefloor into a gentle meditation and mind-bending experiment. 

And that's where he leads us in the expansive ambient mix he made when we reached out to him to record something special. That's what we intended for this mix series when we reached out to DJs, record collectors & musicians inciting them to record something they often don't have the opportunity to play. :)
