This rising star hails from Asbury Park, New Jersey( a city that's literally a square mile). "Y.B.C", The Rising star started rapping at the tender age of 15. He started off drill rapping listening to rappers such as Young Pappy, Chief Keef, Lil Durk, and Lil Reese. At age 17, soulful rap caught his attention. Youngboy Never Broke Again and Lil Baby are a couple of artist that inspired him with their soulful music, so he begin to experiment with that. He learned that he can be a person of many sounds and has been grinding ever since! On January 9, 2020, he released his 8th tape, titled "Welcome 2 GetRight 2"(W2GR2). You can always find his music on all major platforms (e.g) Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, etc, are a few of many.
The name Y.B.C is a stage name his mother Jeanie gave him at age 16. He was originally known as Chxbz (chubs) which is childhood nickname. Y.B.C stands for "Yung Boi Chxbz". Its not easy escaping the violence in Asbury Park, but Y.B.C manages to stay focused on his music. He takes the negativity and uses it to create music his fans seem to love. He is also a very family and friend oriented person. You will often here him mention his family and friends in his music. He has a deep passion for music and he shows in the material he releases. He's been through quite a lot in his 18 years of life, including losing his grandma, whom he’s very attached to.
