Synthetik Sounds Unveils Star-Studded Compilation to Support LA Fire Relief Efforts

Los Angeles, CA – January 27, 2025 – Los Angeles techno label Synthetik Sounds is proud to announce the release of a powerful 39-track Various Artists compilation featuring an extraordinary lineup of global techno talent. In a time of urgent need, 100% of proceeds from the compilation will be donated to LA Fire Relief Funds, supporting communities affected by the devastating wildfires that created havoc in the Los Angeles area in January 2025.

In January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles County burned over 37,000 acres, destroyed more than 16,000 structures, caused at least 29 fatalities, and led to the evacuation of over 200,000 residents, affecting many in the underground techno and house community in our city.
When we asked artists to contribute to a V/A release to help our community, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the amount of support we received.

This monumental release unites over 40 cutting-edge artists, all contributing their signature sounds to this meaningful cause. From techno veterans to rising stars, the compilation is a showcase of boundary-pushing artistry and the unity of the electronic music community.

Synthetik Sounds co-founder, Marco Sgalbazzini, stated, “The recent wildfires have had a devastating impact on our local communities here in Los Angeles. This compilation is our way of giving back, using the universal power of music to bring aid, hope, and resilience to those affected. We are incredibly grateful to the artists who donated their music and to our fans who will support this release. When we began reaching out to artists we envisioned putting together a 12-15 track compilation, but as word got out we found ourselves overwhelmed by support from artists and friends all over the world who wanted to contribute and make a difference in helping LA and its people. The result is a 39-track compilation showcasing the diversity of techno’s soundscapes, and just how much both  LA as a city and its techno community are loved by people all over the world.”

Stockholm born Lego has been a key figure in the electronic music scene in her hometown for over a decade. Since the first time she set her foot in the DJ booth back in 2012, her driving, trippy and hypnotic sets has then taken her to festivals like Exit in Serbia, Freedom Festival in Colombia and Eden Hill Festival in Taiwan, as well as clubs like Tresor in Berlin, Tango in Paraguay, Ved Siden Af in Copenhagen and Hall in Tallinn to name a few. In 2022 she had her first release on the Norwegian imprint Krill Music, where all profits from the sales are going to help the people in Ukraine during the war. Lego also made her first appearance on Lady Tazz imprint Mind Medizin in 2023 and in the beginning of 2025 her first solo EP was released on Cari Lekebusch label H-Productions. Now holding a residency at the newborn underground concept Spektrum in Stockholm, and with upcoming releases yet to be revealed, she for sure is one to keep an eye on.

Maasym blossoms into new sonic territory with Efflorescence (2014) – a deeply textured six-track EP navigating between raw bass pressure, cinematic ambience, and leftfield rhythmic explorations on cassette.

The journey begins with the title track Efflorescence (2014) – a widescreen ambient piece where emotional pads and luminous melodies unfold like a slow-motion bloom, evoking vast cinematic spaces with a fragile intensity.

The mood fractures with Become Free Swimming – a hyper-saturated vortex of FX-driven abstraction and throbbing low-end turbulence, equal parts chaos and propulsion.

Somatic Cells follows, offering a moment of suspended calm – spacious, atmospheric, and warm with an organic flow. Then Respect The Balance and The Picasso Bug shift the focus to the floor, delivering two rumbling tools forged for weighty sound systems and shadowy dancefloors.

Closing things out is Vibrant Symmetrical Pattern – a broken beat experiment at 80 BPM, fusing haunting melodies with heavy basslines and twisted synth shapes. It’s a left-turn finale, strange and bold.

Efflorescence (2014) is a shapeshifting document of club abstraction and emotional resonance — comes out 09th May 2025.
