With each lyric and chord, Lanterns Over Babylon proclaims the triumph of Christ the Sovereign King, reminding believers that we do not fight for victory but from victory already won. An Excellent Wife

The Struggling Saint is the analog music project of Mark J. Goodson, founder and CEO of Grace and Truth Press L.L.C., which includes Bonafice Media and Grace & Truth Records. A singer, musician, and songwriter based in East Texas, Mark has helped shape much of Grace and Truth Records’ catalog through hymn reworks and Scripture-based songs. Aware of his own heart’s deception and his need for diligence in prayer and the Word, he aims to produce music and resources that lead the church toward sound doctrine and good works for God’s glory. His wife, Amber Goodson—Creative Director at Grace and Truth Press and author of Wall of Crosses under the name Baj Goodson—joins him as co-creator and covenant partner in life and faith. Together, as Postmillennial Reformed Baptists, they seek to advance the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven through analog music that proclaims the Gospel of Christ.

Baj Goodson (pronounced like cas•ual) is the analog music project of Amber Goodson—a songwriter, author, and all-around creative from East Texas. A former English teacher turned full-time maker, Amber has written or co-written more than fifty songs across projects, including Filigree + Ephemera, Blue Castle Diaries, Dessert Punch, The Cosmic Cherries, and The Corner of Bloom. She also published the psychological-suspense novella Wall of Crosses.

Beyond her personal work, Baj serves as Creative Director for Grace & Truth Press and works as a proofreader for an international ad agency. When she isn’t writing or making music, you’ll likely find her reading, sketching, or enjoying life with her husband, two Chorkies, and a bowl of ice cream.
