WHERE DID YOU VISUALISE YOURSELF WHEN PUTTING THIS MIX TOGETHER?
It’s an absolute cliché, but I love sunsets a lot. Visualised myself watching mother nature’s colourful creations with good company and drinks, somewhere by the sea much more tropical than Amsterdam.

FAVOURITE CHILL SPOT?
I think this is on the stairs that lead to the front door at my former house in Utrecht where I lived for five years. To picture it: Canal view, evening sun, pillows on the steps, music playing. Perfect.
I miss it, back then it was almost a daily routine in summer. Friends of mine still live in that house so now and then we chill there, not that often anymore unfortunately.

Tempestfeather is the electronic music act of Berlin-based writer and creative Liz Marchetti. As a DJ, her sound was conceived in Cairo, shaped in London, and refined in Berlin. Drawing on her diverse range of influences, she likes to mix and blend genres that lean towards a leftfield and bass-heavy sound.

She said of this mix: “It showcases my penchant for the deeper and darker end of the electro spectrum, with a nod to the UK’s breaky and dubby sounds I love. Coincidentally (or synchronistically?), this set connects the dots between my present and past hometowns of Berlin and London. I featured local Berlin producers Parand, Scarlit Port, and Volruptus; as well as UK-based talents Sync24, T-Flex, and Etch. To tie it up, there's a track by fellow Italian artist GAJA too. Geographical ties aside, I’d like to think it’s pretty danceable :)

This week, we offer you a delightful voyage into some of the grooviest corners of electronic music, courtesy of the one and only @la_dolc_evita !

CIRCLECAST is a series of recordings from friends, artists, DJs, and performers from our surrounding community, intended to inspire connection and memories for the raves that we were able to host and attend regularly before this year. Our plan is to have a mix series, guest interviews, livestreams, and more.  

Like our live events, which seek to represent the diversity happening in today's underground dance music, our mix series is separated by the names of the events we would host pre-covid, with different genres and styles represented in each one. This mix falls under Spirale, our more housey/groovy offering. 

We'll be posting mixes once to twice a month, usually with a mini interview (French, English, Bilingual) exploring the creative mind of the featured artist. Big thank you to La Dolc'Evita for letting us into her world -- have a look below!

𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞 𝐝'𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐥𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞, 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞́𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬-𝐭𝐮 𝐬𝐩𝐞́𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 ?
	
Je suis particulièrement sensible aux arts visuels que ce soit la peinture, la photographie, les collages ou bien l’esthétique graphique d’une affiche de concert ou d’une pochette de disque.  
Je visualise d’ailleurs très souvent mes tracks et associe souvent certaines consonances musicales à des formes ou à des couleurs. 

𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿, 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗺𝘀, 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀-𝘁𝘂 ?

Hormis la musique pour danser ? Difficile… Je danse littéralement sur tout type de musique et je ne différencie pas vraiment la musique sur laquelle je danse de celle que j’écoute ;) 
Les frontières sont devenues d’autant plus floues depuis que je ne sors plus danser en soirée. En ce moment je peux très bien apprécier une grosse track d’électro bien énervée assise confortablement dans mon salon autant que je peux me déhancher dans tous les sens sur du Beethov.

𝐐𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬-𝐭𝐮 𝐝𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐮 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 ?

Je suis toujours remplie d’un fort sentiment d’adrénaline et de joie lorsque je joue devant un public. Je crois que j’essaie de partager cette excitation et cherche à communiquer des émotions fortes, du plaisir, de l’euphorie, avec cette idée d’emmener les danseurs dans un univers parallèle. 

𝗗é𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀-𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗝 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗰é𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗱'𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗱é𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗶.

Je suis sensible à l’esthétique visuelle des dj booths, sachant que c’est ce qu’on passe notre soirée à fixer en tant que danseur! J’aime lorsqu’il y a un certain effort de scénographie (de par l’éclairage ou de détails un peu loufoques). Ma vision d’une performance idéale se déroulerait dans une ambiance intimiste, immersive et déjantée. Pour moi la magie d’une soirée ne se situe pas seulement dans la qualité musicale mais aussi dans la mise en scène de l’espace avec l’idée qu’en arrivant, on ait le sentiment de mettre les pieds sur une autre planète. 
Il serait peut-être intéressant de revisiter le format classique du public qui fait face au dj booth (qui se trouve en avant). J’adorerais jouer dans un espace ou le dj booth est en plein milieu et pourquoi pas même carrément en arrière, dos au public, histoire de casser les repères traditionnels et d’observer ce qu’il se passe sur le dancefloor. 

𝐔𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐮 𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐮 𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐚̂𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐧 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞̀𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐃 ?

Dur de choisir... Je vais y aller pour un gros classique : Enjoy the silence de Depeche Mode, remixé par Ewan Paerson. Euphorisant à souhait, j’ai hâte!
