Since writing this number during the mayhem of my Edinburgh Fringe run in 2014, 'Hey, Mrs. Jones' has become an audience favourite and a staple of my acoustic shows. The original recorded version, released on the 'Midnight Limbo' album the following year, was a very produced affair, with drums. bass, piano, synthesiser and LOTS of guitars. This version, recorded virtually live in the Red Room, Edinburgh, and featuring Mario (from Acid Tuna) on double bass, strips it right back to essentials and better reflects the current incarnation of the song. It features on the collection 'All of Me' readied in advance of my 2017 Edinburgh Fringe run.
