I find it fascinating that I was able to put this album together when I was around the age of 28.  Nobody taught me how to do any of this. Everything is self-taught on this project. And I had 3 active little boys running around our townhouse on W. Falls Road in Grafton, WI. But I was determined. Determined to hear all of that music that was constantly infiltrating my head. I wanted real musicians for this. That's how I always saw it in my head. Even now I see it. You see, I wanted to be a composer. A female composer. Very rare breed indeed. My dream is to be freed financially so that I can devote large chunks of my time to composing. I need to find that certain benefactor who is willing to believe in me and my skills as a female musician who has had to overcome more odds than anyone even knows. And I normally don't swear, but I have to say that being a female in the music industry is DAMN HARD and we have a long way to go as it relates to gender equality and opportunity.
