Underground house from a 90s dancefloor

Went digging through my records for some of my trance favourites from 1998. This set was heavily influenced by places like The Gallery at Turnmills, Republica at Bakers, GodsKitchen at the Sanctuary, Freedom at Bagleys.

Trance was massive in the UK clubs in 1998. Easy to see why with these tracks. It's hard to believe now, but back then even small towns had a decent club fronted by some quality residents with 'big name' guest DJs headlining each week. You did not have to look very far to find a range of great club nights for maximum weekend mayhem.

TranceFix Radio #16 - TF Best of 2023 Mix II - Mixed by A992

Extremely rare, any info on it would be greatfully appreciated. Recorded off the radio, believed to be done in advance of Trade`s 11th Birthday in 2001. The tunes are more indicative of the hard trance that was around at the time rather than the harder sounds Emma was more reknowned for. Nicely mixed, really well programmed and some nice human touches on it that show that it wasn`t done on a sequencer. Lovely, thanks Emma! Thanks a million to Jamie Haig for sharing a wicked part of our musical heritage, another part of the rich tapestry, another piece of the puzzle. Thanks also to my son Daniel for sellotaping what was 11 seperate sound files together. Try as I might, I can`t find the joins, there aren`t any!

Didn't see this one on Soundcloud, and the fans of the legend need to hear this. A top class audio recording that must have been taken from a cassette, though it does not sound like it. A really clean recording, and a real snapshot of the kind of club music that I was loving in 1998.
