what an amazing mix - can't believe I've only just come across it! this is where it really takes off ...what is this tune?! & why haven't I heard it before??!

I used to go and watch her sets at Trade! Amazing. 

This mix is comprised of a bunch of tracks I grew up listening to. All produced or remixed by one of the all time greats. 

If you've ever listened to any of Tony De Vit's numerous mix CDs then you'll know why he was one of the true pioneers of the harder sides of dance music. It may not be to everyone's tastes but there's no denying he influenced a lot of people. For me, I've always loved that stomping kick drum, the hard but groovy bass and his ability to make a track uplifting. You can instantly spot a TdV track in any mix, they always stand out amongst the rest. All these years later, still the king!

Some of the vinyl on this mix are pretty old so you'll have to forgive if the sound quality isn't 100%, but it's done in the style of the time.....2 turntables, one mixer and a bit of fun :)

Ian Ossia March 1995 Crystal Rooms (Naughty But Nice)

Extremely rare, any info on it would be greatfully appreciated. Recorded off the radio, believed to be done in advance of Trade`s 11th Birthday in 2001. The tunes are more indicative of the hard trance that was around at the time rather than the harder sounds Emma was more reknowned for. Nicely mixed, really well programmed and some nice human touches on it that show that it wasn`t done on a sequencer. Lovely, thanks Emma! Thanks a million to Jamie Haig for sharing a wicked part of our musical heritage, another part of the rich tapestry, another piece of the puzzle. Thanks also to my son Daniel for sellotaping what was 11 seperate sound files together. Try as I might, I can`t find the joins, there aren`t any!  

EJ Doubell  The Trade Experience  2001

A big long mix with a load of trance dating from around 1997 through to about 2005 (I think)...that was around the time I stopped paying any attention to Trance. Had a LOT of good times to these tunes over the years in places like The Coach, Kellys, Gatecrasher & Godskitchen. A good few of them will probably seem a bit cheesy now, but fuck it... who cares?
