We used to busk this every week on a Saturday night and make loads of money from people going out.

This song is indelibly linked to you. He used to sing it as he had the voice, but I will have to do this time.

Half The World Away

Our first single. As time goes on, you should learn to expect the unexpected.

Andy and Ian have been crafting songs for over fifteen years, but this is the first under the North-NorthWest banner. It represents (despite its geographical connotation) a barrier-less approach to their output.

We could tell you what we thought when we recorded this. We COULD tell you who our musical influences were for this, but it'd be better for everybody concerned if you gave it a listen and made your own mind up.

Long Cold Voyage

During a warm-up gig in London's comedy cafe prior to his "One Album Per Hour" tour in 2015 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LrrLrZ6NGU), Beardyman came up with this tune (brilliant title suggestion by the audience member, btw) that haunted me in a good way for a while.
So I decided to create an extended version because I wanted that track to go on forever. 10.5 minutes is quite okay for an extended mix, I guess.

A song for every teenager who knew they were right, and everyone else was wrong. And then later they realise they were maybe less right then they first appreciated, but no one died and they turn out to a lovely person.

The Hour Of The Girl

This was written back in October 2007, so you need to imagine it colder and darker than it currently is, you're heading out to catch an early train and there is a hint of frost on the ground.

First Signs Of Frost

I sent this song to a friend last night when I finished it and his response was "Do you need a hug?"

So there's that.

The rest is silence

This song was written after I went to Danish Scout Jamboree in 2004. I was still at uni, but I was on placement in my 3rd year, so I took 2 weeks holiday to go but  everyone else was on summer holidays.

And I realised that summers were no longer going to last from the first sunny day in May and roll through to the start of school. They were were going to be much shorter.

In those bursts of summer, and when you are young, then you can definitely feel pretty invincible, even if it doesn't last

Youth Cut Short Summer

Solo Singer-Songwriter living in England. Acoustic covers from a wide range of artists (take requests), with an eccentric taste in many genres. Write some original material and developing home recording methods to fill out sounds. Lots of loop recordings using a Roland loop pedal, recording through a Tascam 4 track digital recorder utilizing a Marshall Soloist amp.
