History & Info:
Mission Creek Oakland (MCO) began five years ago as a small offshoot of the Mission Creek Arts and Music Festival based in San Francisco, CA. Drawing from MCMF’s 17 year history and spirit of supporting and promoting emerging artists, MCO began as a two day event and has now expanded to a month long event featuring many local venues and artists throughout September!

The festival is organized by a group of local promoters, artists, musicians, and the local weekly newspaper, East Bay Express. Their collective knowledge and energy has helped put together dozens of shows throughout MCO’s lifespan and has created a forum for local musicians to showcase their talents and make connections, a sense of connectivity between venues, and created many amazing memories and inspiration for concert goers.
