this project started around 1996 and was never meant to go public – it captures the very beginnings of my music making. it’s composed on the didaktik gama computer – a clone of the well known zx spectrum. so the base was the 8-bit gama ’89 combined with an 8-bit d/a converter (also known as covox), that could fully benefit the possibilities of the sample tracker 3d and also work with 8-bit samples. the tracks have continuously been worked on during 1996-1998 and are not re-mastered or modified in any way. in fact, project GAMA covers the whole production realized this way – 32 complete tracks. in 2007, the hardware was brought back to life, all components got restored and the data were transferred to PC and published on the former website. currently there are 10 tracks available as a memory of the computing golden era – for the ones familiar with this area and also for the public that could be possibly interested.
