Kenshō (見性) (or jian xing in Mandarin) is a Japanese term from the Zen Buddhism tradition. Ken means “seeing”, shō means “nature, essence“. It is usually translated as “seeing one’s (true) nature”

The word refers to the initial awakening experience, and finally seeing one’s pure and authentic self, after having gone through some rough patches- basically a realization point. A kaleidoscopic view of your life, an uproar of your soul, giving you a sense of direction.

In other words, it's a way of attaining enlightment through pain, as most of us tend to learn, shall we say, "the hard way"

However, to reach this state, one has to travel through roadblocks, pave one’s path, reframe failure, rename the sufferings, be in clear space, and above all, learn the art of letting go.

Time to recalibrate, twist the chords, untie a few strings, and align the beads together to weave the new YOU.

Pain is the fuel to grow, so don’t be afraid- gather yourself and let the universe guide you to your highest potential.

The important lesson here is not to get attached to any experience, be it good or bad.
Just let go.

This is an 18-track compilation that is the first from the electronic-bass fueled label Grand Alliance Music. It's name is NUMINOUS which indicates the presence of divinity. It's meaning is one that is appealing to the higher emotions or to the aesthetic senses. The psychological phenomenon of a suddenly appearing, extremely enigmatic, and at the same time fascinating state in which one feels influenced by higher powers. 

For us, the presence of a higher power is a connection through music, which allows a deeper and more substantial way to express ourselves even on a subconscious level. Often, connection through language may only take us so far but the ways we can relate and connect through music allows us to transcend those boundaries. In our best efforts we have found artists and songs that deeply communicate these vibes. Deep, impactful (and dope) music to its fullest extent. From favorites on our fresh label, to connections and friends we've made over the years, as well as new unveilings and debuts, we could not be any more stoked to be presenting you this GRAND debut; our first compilation. We are laying it ALL out on the line to convey these songs which we believe in to expand the sounds behind who we are, what we represent and we truly believe you will love them too. It's some of the best music we could find from some of the best people we know.
