It’s the pre-drinks, it’s the prep, it’s the research, it’s the foreplay. It’s the latest EP by Berlin-based rising star Ede on Isolate Music. Following key dispatches on the likes of TAU and Correspondant, ‘Prelude’ comprises very distinct pieces to create one very clear narrative.

This fusion creates a diversity of profound and mesmerizing tales, displaying different perspectives from multiple backgrounds and cultures. Everlust is here to remind us that all humans are mortal and our lives on planet Earth are limited. On the other hand, the sounds created by humans with the use of their instruments and machines, all assembled in logical patterns, are timeless and eternal. We'll always have an immense desire for it, as it invokes so many feelings and is continuously present in countless aspects of our lives. We can't imagine life without music. It is an element that is common to all cultures worldwide since the beginning of humanity. From Tanzania to Japan and way beyond - Music is EVERLUST.
This collection has been gathered by our dear friend and an established member of the Camel Riders family - Johny P. Gavish aka SEEL. Johny is a solid figure in the Israeli electronic scene for over a decade. He has been producing music since 2014 under the name JOHNY PABLO, displaying his elegant darkish vibe in some of the most colorful gatherings in Israel, Europe, and the USA. In 2018, Johny launched his new project 'Seel', which displays an emotive and optimistic approach, fusing sophisticated electronica with live instruments, all framed with a slowish and very pleasurable tempo.

Berlin-via-Tunis artist Aziz Haddad has more than delivered with his latest LP, ‘Aromanticism’. A reference to the realism art movement of the 19th century which rejected romanticism, seeking instead to portray contemporary subjects and situations with truth and accuracy. ‘Words Don’t Make Sense’ perpetually marches forward and sees its defining aspects evolve, mirroring the melodic electronic music scene itself.

Welcome on board, Mr. Kookmode! With releases on labels like Gold & Liebe Tonträger, Sangraal and Data Dance Records as well as remix works for widely recognized band outfits like Rosenstolz the Berlin-based producer has slowly, yet continuously worked his way into scene over the course of the past 15 years or so and is now presenting his first ever single release on Upon.You Records.
The title track „Different“ sees Kookmode weighing in a captivating, warm and organic bass monster with a touching, well overwhelming emotional twist – pairing brooding, stripped down and club functional Tech vibes with a SynthPop / Indieelectro leaning song structure, clean, glitzy melodies and a crossover attitude that's about to exceed the limited realms of club and festival dancefloors for a reason.
With Upon.You Records' creative mastermind Marco Resmann at the controls for a remix version „Different“ turns into a percussive uptempo club banger for ecstatic Techno floors, employing razor sharp hi-hats and haunting sound FX alongside anthemic rave influences and slightly dubbed out vocal treatments causing ultimate peak time brockouts on jam packed dancefloors.
Another re-imagination of the original tune is served by Adam Ten who's taking on things from a, well..., „Different“ angle, serving a deep, slightly Tribal-infused take on deep late night TechHouse with a well seductive twist with its tender, subtle atmospheres and clonking, polished synth sounds providing the soundtrack for glamourous love affairs under flickering neon lights.
Furthermore the additional instrumental take on „Different“ caters a dark'ish, more tool-oriented variation for all DJ's out there whilst the final 'Radio Edit' emphasizes and focuses on the mesmerizing songwriting qualities innate to „Different“ for forthcoming heavy airplay rotation.

Some times the music just magically comes out, and that is the case here with "Syria" by new Sol*Selectas artist Unders from Amsterdam. After several successful tunes above the 120 BPM mark on labels like Sincopat and Groove On, "Syria" was Unders' first attempt at slower grooves, and an accidental experiment that just "fell into place, and was automatic magic". Syria's current political unrest is all over the news and social media, and the story being painted is difficult to watch. Driven to create a song which goes against all the negative publicity, Unders says "between all the negativity, the more i looked into the situation, the country, its people and its culture, the more this track reminded me of so much beauty the media doesn’t portray." The song itself a slow minimal trip with chopped up guitar licks, a gorgeous flute sample that takes the listener to far off desert lands, and features the vocals of Veerle.  Satori is yet another up and coming producer from the Netherlands, gaining instant recognition sharing the stage and studio with Acid Pauli, and producing incredible tunes utilizing live instruments played by himself, and tastefully incorporating these with electronic elements. His remix preserves the original message of "Syria" lowering the BPM to an even more hypnotic 104 BPMs. Satori adds middle eastern strings and chords, swapping out the original vocal for a more Saharan inspired call, and even plays delicately with some acid sounds furthering the listeners journey.  
Both songs are meant to invoke peaceful images of Syria, and conjure up positive intention on the dance floor. Sol*Selectas is very excited to present the debut song "Syria" from Unders, and the amazing remix by Satori,  two artists from the Netherlands you would do well to keep your eyes and ears open to in 2016.
