Just one “little old lady” playfully experimenting with a DAW.

A few months before my 60th birthday, I discovered that creativity has no expiration date when—with no prior experience creating music or using DAWs—I embarked on an exploratory digital music journey using GarageBand.

Little did I know that this entertaining quest would translate into a new roadmap for my life!

What began as simple curiosity quickly evolved into deep exploration of sonic landscapes through loops, samples, and layered sound design. 

My long-dormant creative fires were reignited…

How Granny Got Her Groove Back emerged as my artist name the moment i began sharing music with friends and family—a playful nod to reinvention and resilience, inspired by the film How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

Granny Grooves is the sound of that journey — lush, loop-based tracks that blend classical roots with modern digital expression.

Music has been my lifelong companion—a source of both inspiration and refuge—from school band and choir, to my decade as a dancer and years of playing piano, rhythm and melody have been essential to how I breathe and move in the world.

Now, blending my classical musical foundation with the tools of modern digital production, I embrace experimentation across diverse styles.
