Dave Astaire’s passion began at an early age playing keyboards and by 13yrs he moved his focus towards the guitar. It wasn't long and Dave began playing in a number of bands around Adelaide, “Dorian Gray”, “Banshi”,” The Tramps( A R&B band)” and an Angels cover band, “Beyond Salvation”. Dave Astaire’s work was increasing and gaining in recognition with gigs including the Adelaide Fringe 
He’s been a noted session musician, playing lead guitar on Peter Chants album “I close my Eyes”. The single reached in at the top 30 SAFM Chart in 1992. He has collaborated with Aldo Leopardi on several albums and in 2011, 2012 has since started gigging around various venues here in Adelaide as an original rock performer which he hopes to continue for years to come...
Ready to rock wherever music lovers may be,Dave has gigged at various venues, The Adelaide Fringe and the Semaphore Music festival and the  Change Original Music Festival in Gawler 2015. has also played at a wedding , Xmas party, birthday party etc..This just shows how versatile his talent is. Anything from a chilled out pop set to a full on rock show, Dave is also lead guitarist for hard rock band Skidmark.Check them out live heavy and loud at a venue near you..
