The track "Believe" is the first single to be released from Ivan' s upcoming album. "Believe" is a bittersweet slightly desperate song about relationships in the context of the difficulties of our times.

A song inspired by an experience I had working on a building site as a brickies labourer, a group of guys came across from Adelaide to work on this particular site and took advantage of another labourer that I was working with and after a few weeks things started to get really dark and disturbed when one day they decided they were going to kill this guy and loaded several bags of lime in their car in preparation to carry out this shocking deed, one of the guys claimed he was associated with a notorious biker gang called the gypsy jokers hence the title of the song.

THE GYPSY JOKER

Four Walls was inspired by a miscreant workmate who was incarcerated over some drug related incidents. It tells the story of this colleague's struggles after his release to reintegrate back into society again. The chorus describes the mental anguish of spending time in solitary confinement after an extremely violent and brutal incident with another inmate.

Psycho woman was written about and is a retort to a specific person that waged an extended hateful, vicious and utterly senseless vendetta against Ivan for well over ten years. It involved stalking, harassment and the spreading of malicious lies in an attempt to ruin Ivan's reputation and to cause as much grief as possible to him and his family.

PSYCHO WOMAN

The iceman was a track written as a response to an insanely jealous estranged relative that spent time in jail for stabbing and nearly killing another man just for the sheer thrill of it. This sick individual has tried to kill Ivan on several occasions and continues to threaten to do so right up until this very day. The chorus expresses the insane, illogical and deranged hatred that this person has for Ivan and how that it doesn't matter what you do or what you say there is always some xenophobic cretin out there that will hate you for absolutely no valid reason at all. Unfortunately for Ivan it happened to be a nut job relative who has made a hobby and a sport out their irrational life long hatred of Ivan for having the audacity just to be born.

THE ICEMAN

The deplorables was a disparaging term that Hillary Clinton used to insult supporters of Donald Trump. The songs lyrics bear no relation to american politics in any way at all. Although the sentiment of this track in general is one of being fed up with the status quo and totally over a seemingly manufactured class warfare that has come to prominence in recent times. The chorus emphasises the fact that a certain part of of society (the have nots) are indignant about being constantly told that they are worthless and should be thrown out with yesterdays refuse. The overall message of the song is that through all the slurs and indignation it is still possible to unashamedly walk around with your head held high.

THE DEPLORABLES

Insomnia was written after a chronically sleep deprived week. The dream could possibly be described as a nightmare about a group of scientists that have the ability to torture their subjects by artificially creating and inserting images and disturbing narratives in a persons head while they sleep.

INSOMNIA

The candyman is anti drug and druggie culture song. After the loss of so many friends to this scourge and living through the totally destructive effects of heroin in the area that Ivan grew up in it is no surprise that the film clip's imagery depicts a grotesque looking junkie in the full throes of their dissipation. The chorus is a cyclical swipe at dealers and how they profit from other peoples misery.

THE CANDYMAN

Diseased is probably the most cynical song on the album, after at least two decades of looking out into the world with a sense of horror and trepidation at the degradation of culture by what could best be described as a nihilistic race to the bottom in the most culturally regressive time in history has definitely been the catalyst for spawning this dark artistic expression of moody exasperation.

DISEASED

The last song on the album continues with the theme of grinding angst and frustration. Bundled up with a simple two note riff and primal rhythm gloom's simplistic structure and melody add to it's overall hypnotic trance like sound. The chorus cuts in like a roundhouse kick to the groin on a cold night. With an unapologetic and overall sarcastic vocal delivery to finish off this unique album.
