Bit of an odd creature this. There was a phrase that I needed to get out of my head and this is how it turned out. I was actually quite pleased with the end result though, even with those sort of weird and affected vocals and lyrics. Wasn't sure exactly what to call it, so I just went with some the tags I usually use. Hope someone else enjoys it too!

Posting this because I wanted to somehow  celebrate getting a hundred followers and  over a thousand plays (shamelessly counting collabs) on SoundCloud. I know it's not a lot compared to many others, but I'm very happy about it - And very grateful for all of you out there who have taken the time to listen and comment on my tracks.

The song is an old one. This recording is in the region of two decades old and we first recorded the song perhaps a decade before that. I love Fredrik's ebow stuff in it, but would like a mulligan on my vocals…

Thanks to Francis Patrick who was clearing away a box of tapes and found this very odd interview with myself in NY in 1982. Some things you just can't say on radio anymore , well nothings changed I am still out all night and still love electronic music and I am talking about NY Nightlife, Ultravox- Spandau - Metro Peter Godwin and the dire music press who did not believe these Electronic Bands would last or even get off the ground... well 30 odd years later Spandau release Soul Boys of The Western World in Cannes Film Festival 2014 and the rest as they say is History...

The empathy test in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner is based on the premise that machines, no matter how advanced, lack compassion. But for childhood friends, Isaac Howlett (vocals) and Adam Relf (production), Empathy Test is all about wearing their hearts on their digital sleeves. Ok, possibly a little bit of cheating involved here, as I’ve used an old track that I had lying around to get this one going.
But as that track was made to go with a lyric I wrote which was very much in the same vein as this week’s haiku, it seemed a shame not to use it somehow.
The original track was killed off in a project by my of collaborators, who thought it to slow, weird and ”cinematic” to work for a pop song. Given my usual luck though, I suppose that in this new context it will instead be considered too pop to be particularly interesting.

Apart from a bit of (K)ARP Odyssey, this one’s only software. Mostly Arturia’s SEM - It’s a great synth, I only wish that I could afford a real one.

Once again Swedish trio Daybehavior shows their massive skill in quality songwriting and top-notch production. This time Julian Brandt (former member of Kamera, Bobby, solo-career and currently, (May 2013), in a project with Marina Schiptjenko (Page)) visits on guest vocals in this stunning duet with Paulinda.

The B-side of the single "Luci Della Citta" is a new recording sung by Paulinda in italian.

Trio based in Stockholm, Sweden. Formed in 1995 by Carl Hammar, Paulinda Crescentini and Tommy Arell. Heavy influenced by early electronic music and movies, the debut album was released 1996. In 2012 the critically aclaimed 3rd album "Follow that car" was released, with notes like " Album of the year","Daybehavior is without any doubt, one of the best exponents of todays electropop"   …etc.  Now aiming for the the fourth album, "Based on a True Story", the first release is the the excellent track Change .
