Yearning with Iva Peralta + Misia - 03/10/2025

The duo Corporation, formed by Racine (Julien Racine) and Keru Not Ever (Justin Leduc-Frenette), have been linking contemporary electronic music with the brute practices of electro-acoustic and plunderphonic music for several years. This - as patent in their respective works as in their debut album, Graffito (2019 [Genot Centre]) - results in hallucinatory music based on collage, superposition, repetition, synthesis and field-recording. It is composed as an acousmatic theater of sound artifacts without actors.

They are now returning with their sophomore album, Tableaux du doute, a work of sound investigations, traces, clues and alibis collected between 2021 and 2024. Drawing motifs and samples from the soundtracks of neo-noir films and detective movies of the 1990s and 2000s (Miami Vice, L.A. Confidential, Scoop, etc.) the pieces are composed as small tableaux, scenes of obsessive (dis)appearances and ordinary conspiracies, whose curtains hide underhand thefts and repeated treacheries. Every piece insists on and repeats the motives of doubt - before the revelation of a crime - whether felted by the lyrical eroticism of violins or the oblique coldness of FM synthesis.

The album can be listened as both a fanfiction-turned-mixtape and a musical études of investigative tropes - an empty object whose mystery is entirely produced by the artificial surface of seductive sounds.

Ytem 是一位現居法國巴黎的作曲家、製作人與 DJ。他的作品與 DJ Set 精心融合了電影般壯麗的旋律，以及深受 Hardstyle 影響的粗獷鼓點。空靈的歌聲與旋律在銳利的節拍中飄蕩，有時甚至宛如恐怖電影的配樂。這使他在實驗性俱樂部音樂場景中打造出獨屬於自己的聲音。他的音樂深受 Caterina Barbieri、Zuil、Tzusing 與 Dark0 等人的喜愛。

2018 年，他的首張 EP《Dangereux》由他與 Chams 共同創立的獨立廠牌「Abîme」發行。這張 EP 如同一幅插畫，向聽眾展現他反覆的奇異夢境，體現了氛圍音景與硬派風格、浩瀚與空虛之間的二元性。

Ytem 曾多次與英國藝術家 Escha 合作，並自行發行多張作品。其中包含一張名為《Chamber Versions》的黑膠 Remix EP，以及他們的首張原創 EP《Lossy》，其風格受 UK Drill、Hardstyle 與古典音樂影響。

2023 年，Ytem 與 Escha 受邀為瑞典 Cloud Rap 歌手 Bladee 與 Varg²Tm 的合作單曲《SHINIE》製作重混版本。一年後，他們於現居台灣的製作人／DJ Tzusing 所創立的「Sea Cucumber」廠牌下發行了一張融合 Hardstyle、硬核搖滾與嘻哈元素的 EP《NPA/KLS》。

自 2016 年起活躍至今，Ytem 的足跡遍及歐洲各地，包括倫敦、布魯塞爾與巴黎。近年來，他持續與各地廠牌合作，並曾出現在瑞典製作人 Varg²Tm 的「Cease 2 Exist」、台灣的「Over My Body」以及愛沙尼亞的「Shelter」等廠牌的發行目錄中，展現了他寬廣的全球視野。

作為一名 DJ，他的音樂風格自由穿梭於 French hip-hop、Jersey club、Happy Hardcore、Trance、Hard Drum 與 Dubstep 之間。2019 年 6 月，他曾登上巴黎知名俱樂部 Concrete 的舞台——僅在該場地永久停業的一個月之前。

Ytem 曾多次受邀參與如英國 Circadian Rhythms（on NTS）、法國 LYL Radio、愛沙尼亞 IDA Radio 以及 10Twenty 等多個知名電台節目的演出，並於 2020 至 2022 年間在 Rinse France 擁有自己的月度節目。他曾邀請如 HOWE、Bukva Sound 等活躍於歐洲地下音樂場景的製作人與 DJ，從法國出發，以網路為線索，向我們展示了一幅歐洲音樂場景的繁盛畫卷。

Ytem is a composer, producer, and DJ currently based in Paris, France. He has crafted his own voice within the experimental club music scene with his productions and DJ sets combining cinematic melodies and rough hardstyle-inspired drums, ethereal voices and melodies floating through razor-sharp beats, sometimes akin to an horror show score. His music has been a favorite of artists like Caterina Barbieri, ZULI, Tzusing, and Dark0. 

In 2018, his debut EP, "Dangereux," was released on his own Abîme imprint (co-founded with Chams), an illustration of recurring dreams he has had, a duality between atmospheric soundscapes and hardstyle patterns, between immensity and emptiness.

Ytem has collaborated extensively with English artist Escha and self-released multiple times, which including a vinyl only remix EP titled "Chamber Versions" and their debut original EP, "Lossy," which draws influences from UK Drill, Hardstyle, and classical music. In 2023, they were commissioned to had a remix of "SHINIE," a collaboration between Swedish cloud rap artist Bladee and Varg²Tm. A year later, they released "NPA/KLS," an EP fusion of Hardstyle, Metal, and Hip-hop, on Taiwan-based producer/DJ Tzusing's "Sea Cucumber" label.

Active since 2016, Ytem has stamped his footprints throughout Europe, including in London, Brussels, and Paris. In recent years, he has collaborated with labels around the world, appearing on releases like Swedish producer Varg²Tm's "Cease 2 Exist", "Over My Body" from Taiwan  and "Shelter" from Estonia, showcasing his broad global vision.

As a DJ, his musical style freely traverses French Hip-hop, Jersey Club, Happy Hardcore, Trance, Hard Drum, and Dubstep. In June 2019, he performed at Paris's prestigious Concrete club, just a month before it closed permanently.
Ytem has been invited to perform on numerous renowned radio stations, including Circadian Rhythms (on NTS) from UK, LYL Radio in France, IDA Radio in Estonia, and 10Twenty. From 2020 to 2022, he has hosted his own monthly show on Rinse France, featuring producers and DJs active in the European underground scene, such as HOWE and Richelle (head of Pelican Fly label). Using the internet as a platform, he presents a thriving European music scene starting from France. 

Ytem excels at exploring new forms of expression with brilliant narratives and delicate melodies, subverting the listener's sensory memory. It's certainly quirky, but definitely worth the effort.
