The first Barcelona Megamix came together almost by chance - a happy accident. It all started with an invitation to collaborate with a label from northern Europe and showcase talent from my hometown, Barcelona. What happened next exceeded all expectations. The response was massive. Having top DJs like Laurent Garnier supporting the release was incredible, but when Carl Cox took it viral, it was on another level.

So, of course, we had to do it again. And now, here it is, Barcelona Megamix 2. The vision remains the same, but this time, everything is bigger, bolder, and more refined.

This is a true compilation, featuring nine Barcelona-based artists, each contributing a standout track. Some familiar names return—Check One, Dan Mckie, Groovycosta, The Bandit, and SBK101 delivering the quality we know and love.

Alongside them, a new wave of talent is making waves in the city's electronic scene. MOTA, Jen Cruz, Isa Rojas, and Aggro inject fresh energy, proving that Barcelona’s underground sound is as dynamic and powerful as ever.

Since its inception in 2020, Italo Moderni’s energy, spirit and inspiration has been the dancefloor. The darkened bunkers of Belgium, the trembling speakers of Valencia, the warming dawn of Rimini, these influences have been the lifeblood. Solidifying this tireless effort, Mellow Bangers Vol 2 is the label’s most ambitious collection to date.
In celebration of the imprint’s fifth anniversary, fifteen artists gather with every single one united under a rallying cry. From across the globe, machinists have been drawn together to deliver a statement of acid and wave, of electro and synth with flourishes of italo. The shadowy fringes of the floor are well represented, audio artisans like Cyrk and Djedjotronic serving distorted drums and melodies dripping with menace. Brightening these tones are the likes of Lauer with his Balearic infusions or Gravedad Cinética’s otherworldly “Fake Atmosphere.” Amongst the litany of talent are musicians who have both inspired Italo Moderni as well as those who have appeared on the label. Antoni Maiovvi fits such a description, the sound sorcerer slicing beats through bittersweet bars in the immersive “Stopping Power.” Ceaselessly developing the Spanish scene, Iberian artists are rightly showcased. Madrid’s David Poziano offers the cascading luminance of “In Search of Gold”, shimmering synthlines punctuated by breathy samples and pulsing percussion. New discoveries rub shoulders with established veterans, E-Bony’s bending and undulating “Brain U.F.O.” beside rising names like Ivan Pavletsov with the steely “No Future” and DjBoeing with the beaming joy of “Cheetah.”
Mellow Bangers Vol 2 is a breathless expression of the floor. A contemporary imagining of the racing rhythms and addictive hooks of the 1980s and 1990s. Fifteen works that summarise what Italo Moderni is and will continue to be.

Where circuits hiss and drum machines speak the truth - Ole Mic Odd doesn't play the game, he rewires it.

Known for his live hardware sets - no screens, just machines - he brings a fierce, tactile energy that’s earned him stripes across the global underground.

With releases on respected imprints like Kraftjerkz, Hilltown Disco, Zement, Natural Sciences and Source Material, Ole Mic Odd has built a discography that runs deep in texture and intent. 

Raw vocoders, industrial grit, Acid squelch - it’s a sound forged in the fires of early Electro and 80s synth culture, but wired for now.

From Bossa Nova Civic Club (Brooklyn) to Movement (Detroit) to Smartbar (Chicago), he’s lit up stages with mind-bending Techno-Bass music that hits like it should: Hard, dirty, and alive.

OVERSPEED 012 w/ Konstantin Kost + Gravedad Cinética

En una realidad paralela nos encontramos con este sujeto. 

Su primer contacto con los sintetizadores fué en una fábrica de sintetizadores cuánticos en una de las bases lunares de Júpiter. Allí empezó a experimentar con diferentes máquinas con las que generar grandes líneas de bajos, ritmos sincopados y arpegios cósmicos. 

Necesitaba más créditos para poder reparar el vehículo espacial, a si que a parte de trabajar en la fábrica buscó clubs nocturnos por la zona donde poder mostrar y dar a conocer sus creaciones musicales. 
Al mismo tiempo dichas creaciones las envía por código digital por diferentes puntos de la galaxia teniendo muy buena acogida en diferentes labels (Anti Gravity Device, Battery Park Studio, Elektrodos, Electroclub)

Después de años de investigación y con el vehículo espacial reparado decide adentrarse en el espacio y continuar explorando nuevos horizontes donde expandir su música. 
En esos viajes cósmicos encuentra nuevas constelaciones donde la música de forma analógica la imprimen en un disco de vinilo con una técnica milenaria.
Impresionado por dicha técnica decide enviar sus creaciones que finalmente ve editadas en vinilo por Waste Editions y Aspecto Humano.

Actualmente prosigue con sus investigaciones y experimentos armónicos en algún punto del cosmos.
