EATBRAIN gain another slick addition to the collective, with the latest release landing from relatively fresh Antwerp-based duo,
HYPOXIA (Titan Records // DnB Arena). Members Athys and Syntopia craft a brand of Tech and Neuro DnB with a bleak
aesthetic influenced by the more sinister areas of Psychology. The ‘ANOVA’ EP takes its name from the Analysis Of Variance
statistical method, with the change here being the sinister journey into an internal void during the inception of its components.

‘PROFANITY’ is where the EP strikes hardest, with its haunting filtered vocal pads providing a stark intro that picks up into a raveparanoia
inducing kinetic build-up. The drop comes with an otherworldly screech and the exclamation of ‘Oh My God, What The
Fuck?!’ – which is almost certainly set to be echoed in the minds of the dance crew as they get down to this beast.

Without warning, the innocuous rock planted firmly beneath your feet morphs to the worn concrete of a city street. Odd, you think. Teleportation wasn’t an expectation of the trip. Even in the pitch black night, you can make out a figure in the distance. Shadowy yet bright to your vision. He begins to speak as he approaches, but his language isn’t discernible. This is only one telling of “Paper Tales”, an EP from master of audio Fine Cut Bodies. Swirling, meticulous sound design is the focus of many of his tracks. Expertly blending psychedelic modulation with cinematic themes, each song acts as its own page of an adventure still in the making, a coloring book with the lines yet unfinished. Truly a testament to a perfectionist nature, some songs included here have taken shape over the course of years rather than mere hours or days. Ray Keith is a British drum and bass DJ and record producer. Ray Keith is one of drum and bass' most well known producers and DJs. He is regarded as one of the pivotal figures in the early jungle/drum and bass scene. He has been playing drum and bass all over the world for the past two decades.

He had a passion for jazz, funk and soul music which led him to buy some turntables. Ray Keith began DJ'ing as a teenager in 1989 around his native Essex and Suffolk before he got his break DJ'ing on the London acid house and rave scene. He started working as a recording artist and producer for his own style of music and other genres in 1990. One his early remixes was an bootleg mix of Orbital's Chime in 1990, it was finally officially released in 1992.
He found his niche with drum and bass music. He is famed for producing bass heavy yet soulful tunes and has made classics such as the jump-up anthem "The Terrorist" and "The Chopper". Ray set up Dread Recordings in 1994 and has produced numerous albums. He has also remixed Moby, Shades of Rhythm and Moving Shadow. His nephew, Peter O'Grady aka Joy Orbison, is also a DJ and producer. Ray is a keen supporter of Manchester United football team
