Phoenix, Arizona-based death metal quintet, VEHEMENCE, returns to full-time deployment in 2015 with with tour dates and their anxiously awaited first new album in over a decade, Forward Without Motion.

The outfit’s first new album since Metal Blade Records’ 2004-released Helping The World To See, VEHEMENCE comes storming back to the death metal circuit with a crushing new album which will surely see the band regaining their traction within the scene after their time off the grid. Forward Without Motion is the culmination of years of hard work and the collective desire to write the best songs and capture the best performances. Working on the songs off and on for several years between 2007 and 2011, VEHEMENCE began a methodical, painstaking tracking process for the new record between 2012 and 2014, the album’s guitars, bass, and vocals being recorded at the home studios of guitarists Bjorn Dannov and Kyle Moeller, with the drums being recorded at Villain Studios in Phoenix. When listening to Forward Without Motion, one will discover the refreshing sounds of a band creatively reborn and seasoned by experience. The album flows with a relentless, throat grabbing energy that never flags and begs for repeated spins. This cohesive power is nowhere more apparent than in the strength of the instrumental and vocal performances, which slash and hammer their way out of the speakers with a passion rarely found in the cold, mostly lifeless corpses that are most modern death metal recordings.

With the underground death metal scene now extremely primed for the re-arrival of VEHEMENCE, Forward Without Motion will be released through Battleground records on October 23rd. The record will be issued on 180-gram black vinyl 2xLP in a gatefold package with a free download, limited to 300 copies, as well as a digipak CD version and all digital platforms. The band and label have proudly issued Forward Without Motion’s track listing and cover art by Hal Rotter/Rotting Graphics (Atriarch, Inherit Disease, Barghest).

VEHEMENCE "It's All My Fault"

Californian Death Metal sickheads RUDE are back with the second album named „Remnants...“. Nobody less than the mighty artist Dan Seagrave is responsible for the amazing coverartwork. Well known mostly from the early '90s artwork-masterpieces of Entombed, Morbid Angel, Malevolent Creation, Suffocation, Dismember and tons more...he's still one of the greatest artists worldwide.

On „Remnants...“ the band present 9 brandnew filthy and authentic classic Death Metal songs still in the vein of Pestilence, Morbid Angel or Nocturnus. No drum-trigger, no bombast, no bullshit...just DEATH METAL to the bone.
„Remnants...“ will be released together with the new WOUND album on January 20th. 2017 by FDA Rekotz/ Soulfood Music on CD, Digital Download and strictly limited deluxe Digipaks. The vinyl version follows later together with a big surprise for the European fans.

As a small country, the Dutch are far from doing bad when it comes to their contribution to the black metal scene, on the contrary and Tarnkappe proved this in 2014 with “Tussen Hun en de Zon”, a largely left unnoticed record of great magnitude, shame on you all! As a project of two members of bands such as Kjeld, Salacious Gods, Lugubre these guys are deeply rooted in the underground.

‘Winterwaker’ (meaning “Guardian of Winter” in English) by Tarnkappe is the follow-up that proves this quality-approach in full. In this case you will be caught by surprise totally, since this is a classic Black Metal album that needs to be heard. We would dare say this the traditional 90’s Black Metal record we all have been waiting for, records like this are not made anymore...

If you enjoy your Black Metal with an organic, natural sound, Tarnkappe will be on your to get. We would say that Tarnkappe revives the old 90’s Scandinavian spirit in full, but this would not justify what this band has achieved here. They are original enough to have their own sound. Great songs, razorsharp guitar riffs, insane vocals and a topnotch production is what you get. A hypnotizing, gloomy setting that makes this release sound ritualistic and captivating. All delivered in an ice-cold artwork.

If you like it cold, grim and traditional, and still feel melancholic on the early 90’s scene, then you need Tarnkappe!
