The Offshore Rivers were formed over many nights spent around a record player, lost on the likes of The Stones, George Harrison, Gram Parsons, Otis Redding, the Byrds, Captain Beefheart, Jimmy Cliff, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and the Band 

The resulting sound is of jangly 60s guitar pop, heartfelt blues and tender soul, laden with country guitar, bittersweet harmonies and Dylan-esque prose.

The band are currently working on their first album which they hope to have out later this year.

YOUNG LIAR are a five-piece instrumental rock band based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Since forming in mid-2010 for what was originally planned as a one-off gig they have performed across the UK and supported the likes of Three Trapped Tigers, I Like Trains, Errors, Male Bonding, The Twilight Sad and Ice Age. As well as playing at Sunderland's Split Festival, Live At Leeds 2011 and Brainwash Festival VI.

YOUNG LIAR followed up the success of their debut 2011 release with their second EP which picked up support from Radio 1's Jen Long & BBC 6 Music's Gideon Coe. While EP1 had all the trademarks of traditional guitar based post-rock, their current sound, and that of EP2, also incorporates elements of electronica, noise-rock, krautrock and post-punk. Recent press has drawn comparisons to everyone from Neu!, My Bloody Valentine and Explosions In The Sky, to Spacemen 3, Errors and Nine Inch Nails.

Revered as one of the North-East’s most vibrant and entertaining live bands, BEAK consist of a group of experienced local musicians all heavily involved in the region’s music scene. The band consists of members of bands such as Coal Train, Field Music, Razmataz Lorry Excitement, This Aint Vegas, Boxed Roomer & The Lake Poets as core participants, with some live shows including guests from The Futureheads & Maximo Park.

As a live act, BEAK are not to be missed. With each member brightly colour coordinated and masked, BEAK dominate the venue with a hugely energetic and mesmerizing live show, actively encouraging audience participation and interaction with the crowd. This bond between band and audience has generated an excited and enthusiastic reaction from gig goers up and down the country and has earned BEAK a reputation as a force to be reckoned with within the national live music scene.
