For Volume 27 of our Libero Sound podcast series we welcome Welsh brothers & label favourites Brodyr who bring an hour of percussive grooves. 

Although only started in September 2015, the seeds for the BRODYR project were planted a lot longer ago than the five years it has been in operation. Heavily influenced by some of the Balearic Island’s most recognisable faces, in particular Carl Cox and Marco Carola, BRODYR have developed their own unique style that encompasses the full techno spectrum, ranging from minimal to tech-house and everything else in between – expect Libero Sound throughout.

Cuttin' Headz continues to define the contemporary house landscape with another superb EP, this time from Toman. The Dutchman has been hugely prolific since breaking through and his unique take on house and techno has led him to much-renowned outlets like No Art, Moscow & Eastenderz.

This fresh new EP opens with Madrugada, a tightly coiled bit of tech funk. The kicking drums and razor sharp hi hats are detailed with cool female vocal stabs, whirring effects and dramatic fills that really make the track pop. Better Is Weather is a much deeper tune but one that still packs a punch. The super balmy pads bring a nice summery feel to the breezy late night grooves and hints of garage skip.

All in all, another incredible standout EP from all involved.

Cosmin Horatiu lands on Great Stuff Talents with a brand new release entitled "Breakrrr". His fresh, cutting-edge deep tech sounds inject feelings of liveliness and optimism in these weird times. Cosmin's tracks are all based on thick sub-heavy basslines and rolling grooves. His selection of sounds and arrangements leave enough space for the music to breath and take you on a dancefloor adventure.

Romanian artist Cosmin Horatiu makes his Tech Avenue debut, delivering a feel-good pair that perfectly capture his refined melodic style. Following releases on Kaluki, Deep Perfect, and the widely respected NoZzo, Cosmin's tracks really made us stand up and take notice. The "So Good" EP features two originals that put his creative mind on full display. The title track "So Good" boasts a Deep Tech sound complete with soulful vocal cuts and punchy stabs sitting on top of a very funky and heavy hitting bass line. The title track is in incredible company; he's joined by Motion Sky, Drew Dapps, and Tech Avenue roster artist Guru Reza - needless to say the label is continuously blessed to host such raw talent. Rounding things off, the accompanying track titled "Wanna Thank Me" features a Snoop Dogg soundbite that we've yet to hear utilized on any Tech House bangers thus far. It's one of our favorite tracks at the moment, featuring one of the most creative bass lines on a Tech House tune that we've heard in a while. There's no question you will feel the energy on both tracks. Tech Avenue is proud to welcome the sounds of Cosmin Horatiu, Motion Sky, Drew Dapps, and Guru Reza on this slammer of an EP. Enjoy!

This year's been a busy one for Swiss house and techno producer and selector Deetron. 

The pinnacle may have been his 'Fabric 76' mix, weaving between tracks from Marcel Dettmann, Caribou and Seven Davis Jr, and he's been on a prolific remix run, doing his thing on tracks by Roots Panorama and in-demand house duo Gorgon City.
