Summer is in full swing and we present you with the perfect soundtrack for an unforgettable time with friends under the bright sun. ‘Flute’ by the North German duo HUSP has all the perfect ingredients for a summer smash hit. Lovely piano & guitar chords bounce back and forth, while the funk-filled bassline does its thing beneath the uplifting flute sequences. Once the vocals unfold their magic there is no turning back! 

On remix duty we have two heavy hitters from Spain adding their sorcery to this special package of fine electronic music. David Penn breaks up the structure of the original to inject it with mesmerizing atmospheric elements and rawer sub frequencies - that add even more energy. JJ Mullor changes around the bassline, adds his trademark effect work and adjusts the groove to his big room, peak time needs.

Stephan Hinz has created three collaborative tracks that cover all areas of the techno spectrum and one track is of course with the label bosses, Pan-Pot. We've got the premiere of 'Tension' and take note of the title because the track is brimming with it.

The cut kicks off with thumping kicks and groove-inducing claps before it begins its incline to full-throttle wall-shaker. The drops are punishing and the builds are tantalising. Trust us, this one goes hard. Check it.

Julio Navas’ latest adventure on Great Stuff “Organic” is drenched in punctuating and raw sawtooth synth sounds, that nestle against scratchy sub-bass frequencies in an artful, modern way. The Spaniard creates an atmospheric soundscape, that is underlined by his trademark thick groove. “Organic” is a mesmerizing piece of music, perfectly suited for late night and early morning sets.

Moody synths smear out to the edges of Alex Stein’s remix. Those add a sense of limitless energy, while the constantly morphing bassline sucks you into the cutting-edge techno groove. Alex finds the perfect formula to translate Julio’s original into a peak-time beast!

Ed is Dead has long been a tech house master, shooting out many great tracks on various labels. He adds a loser drum programming and a floating feel to his interpretation, while keeping the vibrancy of the track in tact. Splashes of mystical chords keep things rolling and tasty throughout.

Julio Navas - Organic

It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. The result is our first joint EP, of which I am very proud. (Thomas Schumacher, November 2015)

Be Rockin is a collaboration from Hungarian producer/dj Belocca and Germany’s Tobi Kramer. The track is uncluttered and excellent peak time material, with energetic tech house structures overspread by a raw and funky bassline. The dominating pitched vocal snippets push things upward and the snappy percussion groove is spicing things up in the foreground. Both arranged Be Rocking with a dynamic purpose to catapult plenty of satisfying hands-in-the-air moments onto the dance floor.

Alex Long & Stanny Abram’s Need No One EP is Great Stuff’s most techno-focused release in a while, with bleepy synths jiggling around rolling bass and nasty pads stirring up things.

Need No One is spare and booming, with a marching kick and groove combo. The stomping melody is taking center stage alongside growling chimes that sound like they’re up to something ominously exciting. This one is straightforward dancefloor madness!

On the flip side we have the equally strong and muscular Ain’t No Body. The extremely tight drums provide an energetic surrounding for the haunting pads to unfold their enormous potential. The track shows it’s sharp teeth throughout and sounds dangerously fantastic even after a whole lot of plays!

This time they are focusing on two stripped back Detroit inspired techno tracks. “Tungsten” is slightly Rob Hood inspired and has a good amount of energy. “Magnesium” on the other hand has a warm musical analog sequence with an infectious groove. Julio Navas makes his return to Great Stuff with his brand new “Matematico” composition, after his celebrated “Organic” release a while back. The Spain based producer lays down an array of dark mystical sounds and pads in his electro styled tech-house arrangement. Old-school and distorted synth layers rub against a snappy groove and lead in and out of some epic break downs.

Another Great Stuff favorite is on remix duty. Marco Lys takes things up a notch. Added trippy percussion and a super think sub-bassline transform ‘Matematico’ into peak time beast. Marco’s in-you-face snare programming add to the craziness in perfect style.
