In today’s episode I talk to Ian Preston – Head of Household Energy Services for the Centre for Sustainable energy. CSE is an independent national charity that was initiated in 1979.
 
Their vision is a world where sustainability is second nature, carbon emissions have been cut to safe levels and fuel poverty has been replaced by energy justice. Their  mission is to share our knowledge and practical experience to empower people to change the way they think and act about energy.

Built in 2013 with the help of over 300 supporters and a successful Kickstarter campaign, The GrowUp Box is a small-scale agricultural production unit. They now produce and sell salads, herbs and fish.

In today’s episode I talk to Silvia Kersten from Hubbub. Silvia is the project leader at Hubbub  and she is responsible for developing, launching and scaling sustainable products & services at Hubbub’s 


Hubbub itself is new social enterprise and I had a ton of fun both working with Hubbub and doing this interview. 


Hubbub states that it is a new social enterprise, however, their business model is one that I truly haven’t seen before and found it absolutely fascinating. It can best be described as an open source / incubator for business idea. 


Essential they create fun campaigns and projects surrounding sustainability. They then evaluate the project’s effectiveness and shares results, e.g. they  open source their information. They are happy for other business to, use, copy and improve on the project so they can amplify impact the project.
