Balter are celebrating 10 years of their incredibly weird, whacky and wonderful festival this year and they took over the BOG with Dubtendo for the best pre-party in the history of pre-parties...and thats no exaggeration.

This is maybe the most intricate production of the upcoming basswerk compilation. A composition with latin lyrics was made that fits into our time, a men's choir (Kammerchor of KMGV, www.kmgv.de) and an opera singer(Maria Kublashvili) were recorded, orchestrations were made. It all fits into a drum & bass track with deep bass, a unique combination of sound.

The upcoming Basswerk compilation (Release: February) will be called: The Collab Sessions. Its all about collaborations. About showing styles of Jungle/D&B that I like. Here are two snips from more jazzy Jungle tracks that were played "in the mix" last week on Rene LaVice's show on BBC 1Xtra. Collaborators were: David Boomah, Gregor Schwellenbach, Maria Kublashvili on "Just Stay", Chevy on "Like One"

Klute & Greenman team up again for a melancholic electronic D&B track only they can do. "Alone at the Table" will be featured on Basswerk's new 22 Years collab compilation (Release Feb 22, preorder @ basswerk.bandcamp.com with early delivery). This is their fourth track after "Chicks" and "Lost" from the Certificate 18 days and "Chirashi" on Basswerk. Klute (who is also a punk rock musician) is working on his new album and just released a powerful remix of "Take a Breath" on Commercial Suicide 098. He is always going for an individual artist style within D&B - combined with a unique energy and emotional human touch. Klute's music can be like a friend who understands and sets a lot of good energy free - rather than telling you what's forbidden. (Picture taken by Tom Withers a.k.a Klute)

Record label and artist project from Cologne/ Germany, focussed on Drum & Bass and electronic music, derived from Junglegrowers Crew, run by Heiner Kruse a.k.a The Green Man (TGM) since 1997.

It started as an artist collective with Basztart, Cheetah, Kingz & The Green Man.
Later on, label was run by Cheetah and The Green Man before Cheetah focussed on painting and moved to Hungary in 2007. We released music from musicians all over hte world, including around 40 vinyl singles and 8 albums/compilations.

Now were going back to the roots and an album from The Green Man & Kingz is coming. Additionally Jumpat and Decon are our resident DJs. Also most future releases will be accompanied by coops with one of us.

We started off as an artist collective in 1997. Then we released music from artists all over the world. Now we want to go back to the roots again: We are working on collaborations with artists all over the world! These will be released as a compilation in 2018 - plus additional digital EP‘s and remixes. The Green Man & Kingz as original members are still there and work on a new album as well! The concept is sponsored by the cultural department of the City of Cologne as well (Kulturamt Köln)
